    • My only input to this debate is this:

What turn of foot is Final Demand likely to have as we have yet to see him pushed by anything in his 2 starts. He’s such a big unit I’d be wary of him being vulnerable to something being quicker than him.

He looked a relentless galloper to me, a very very good one at that and would be a classier stayer to my eye so far. Until PT is asked to press the buttons we won’t know for certain.

I don’t think kopek looked too keen at all to be honest, agree with denman it was when the faller came to him lit him up, but PT settled him easy enough when the faller went by. Ballyburn was keener in this race last year and we know where he ended up. Regardless agree with others he’d win either race……as Ballyburn would have last year…….

            • Willie gave enough clues yesterday about final demand.
kopek excellent today sealed it as the townend rides in the premier novice races.

I Sometimes marvel at the lack of objectivity holding a betting slip can bring.

              You never know
Townend has to work these horses and they’ve got to be sparking in the days before decs.

Who gives a toss about the AB - leave it to the Yellow Clay - Gordon is bound to run off there with him now. Willie will just run everything else he needs to get a festival run.

Me, because I’ve had a bet in it. And probably everyone else who’s had one too.

                      • Compare Willies reaction to Kopek winning with his reaction to Ballyburns victory despite Lydia screeching supreme at him. He immediately reminded her they have another for the supreme (Mystical Power ). This time round and despite having the previous favourite in SM he has been unequivocal with Nick Luck about which race Kopek is running in. There was no qualifying comment and ABSOLUTELY NO AMBIGUITY. I understand the grief steps and this forum always takes a ridiculous amount of time to get to acceptance…I just hope we get there before the 48 hour stage otherwise this place is going to be brutal. He actually laughed in NLs face when he mentioned FD and the AB in the same sentence. Kopek turners and FD AB are two of my biggest winners of the festival but I’ve already moved on. There is zero chance FD and Kopek run in the same race and just take a look at the interview if you haven’t already and tell me what chance there is now of FD running in the AB.

Aye I’m clutching obviously, looking like fates sealed on that front unfortunately!

Think I’ll leave anymore bets until decs on the hurdlers now, next to nothing I’m interested in left to run.

                              • Agree with the common sense prevailing right now. I’ve been on the KDB and Final Demand train from last spring and only have coverage for them in the Turners and AB respectively. As of now those bets are dead to me and I don’t think that will change.

KDB will win either Supreme or Turners but I have a nagging doubt with Final Demand not having the boot for the Turners. My rule of not fancying Turners horses who could also run in the AB will be tested this year.
