Comparison of the Novices to the Irish Champ Hurdle, more to see what the early pace was like for KDB (going off the RTV splits in real time so the sectionals tomorrow may show different):
1f: 16.73 15.47
2f: 14.29. 14.26
3f: 14:59. 13.55
4f: 15:16. 14.16
5f: 15:24. 13.96
6f: 14.95. 14.67
7f: 14.85. 14.14
8f: 15:28. 14.13
9f: 15.43. 14.81
10f: 14.91. 15.83 Lossiemouth fell and it became a farce
11f: 15.05
12f: 14.62
13f: 15.16
14f: 13.34
15f: 14.43
16f: 15.06
One run more like a Supreme and the other mare steady like a Turners.

They'd much prefer the strong early pace for him I'd say
Seems to have a very high cruising speed
I reckon he's going to bolt up in the supreme myself
Mundi is way off what's needed on RPRs. Only 138 last time. Saxons stats suggest that's just not close to being good enough.
Can't have him at all myself
Kopek sets the standard, followed by romeo coolios run at christmas
Romeo has the course form but to me Kopek looks by a considerable distance the best novice hurdler in Ireland. He is a banker in the supreme. In the turners there's always the chance he will pull his chance away.

No competition in either race for me.

He is the best novice though, followed by Final Demand.

Both very impressive winners
I might try to get the new lion covered at some point. The Challow curse has to be put to bed at some point. He really didn't look short of pace, something other challow winners havent had enough of.
