Henry always works back from a target, like a fair few trainers do, to be fair, but it does mean you can excuse a debut performance and in Workaheads case, that's exactly what you have to do.

I see the 25's are now gone. I expect he'll be the 'wise guys' value pick as we get closer and closer to the festival now too, as he represents a bit of E/W value for a trainer who won the race last season.

20/1 is still fair, IMO, given Salvator Mundi didn't exactly blow us away yesterday.
The horse would be an absolute trends buster. Purely on that basis he wouldn't be one for me but agree he will probably go off a lot shorter.

Funiculi Funicula declared @ Clonmel over 2m.

Thought he was given a lovely introduction @ Auteuil last season
I think he'll go to Fairyhouse on Thursday. They were both entered in both races so were likely to be split. I hope so anyway as like you say, he's one I've been looking forward to.

Yeah, he would be, although I feel we may get one this season. I'm not saying I'm expecting him to win, but he does represent some E/W value now that we have seen the likely contenders for the race. Salvator was the last piece of the puzzle, IMO, at least, with regards to working out the likely Supreme runners/winner.

Yeah has to be that now

He's been getting entries since as early as November but not dec'd in any. Will have to put up a very good performance to justify going to the festival I'd say.

One positive would be that Clonmel can usually turn to a right bog so might not have wanted him to start there.

          • Can't remember a run that split opinions quite as much as that from SM yesterday. As is often the way, opinions will largely come down to what peoples antepost position on the horse is!

Im still on the fence myself. He's just about my biggest winner ahead of Romeo Coolio. Gut feeling as soon as the race had finished was that we hadn't seen the Supreme winner. But it prompted me to revisit the market and I couldn't find anything else of interest.

Its clearly a pretty average renewal and him and RC still seem the two to concentrate on. I do feel that the race wasn't run to suit RC in the Royal Bond and he lost. Equally the race wasn't run to suit SM yesterday but he found a way to win. So that's a big plus in his column. I would say his jumping was inconsistent rather than bad. He still put in a very few very nice ones to suggest that wont be a huge worry.

I think he's deserved fav and still the most likely winner.

Yeah agreed. He was declared for Cork (which is rearranged for this Friday) so he could still go there.

Yeah he was an obvious one at the prices after his Xmas performance where he was at least as impressive as Kopek yet still plenty of points bigger than him for not being with Willie.

Like you say, we know Henry is a very good target trainer, I'm waiting for some news for Koktail too who I rate very very highly.

I see on the exchange some lucky buggers got very juicy prices on Workahead. You'd be pretty happy with yesterdays comments if sat on those.

I'm strongly of the opinion Don'tstopthemusic would have went past yesterday before his unfortunate demise

I don't want to watch the replay back due to that, so he might of done.
