The way he forged clear in the Future Champions would give plenty of encouragement with a view to getting up that hill!

      • I quite like the entry gordon elliott has given casheldale lad, he's entered up in a rated race at Cork on Saturday, should be winning easily.
It does appear he's looking after this one, finding him a nice little race to learn a little more.

He could've threw him in at xmas, the ground would've been to his liking, but obviously he had the impressive winner anyway so that would clearly have had something to do with the decision.

I'm quite excited to see him again so hope he runs.

Nice timing too. Enough time between races to run at the DRF if impressing.

Probably the best 2m performance of the season, so far!

You could argue he'd be plenty shorter if the myth that is Salvator Mundi wasn't in the betting!
Agree. He should be shorter. Seems that every man and his dog has got Mundi itus.........and we might not even see him. If Romeo was Willies he'd be 5/2 fav.

I'm guessing you're on about Koktail...

Big big fan of him myself, had him in the tracker since his impressive FR AQPS win
Henry also has Butch Cassidy who we might see again on Sunday. Both him and Koktail looked like a step up might be helpful. Surely he won’t send three to the Bartlett. I’d have thought Koktail might go for the Turners.

Yeah I didn't have a strong view as to where Koktail Divin will fit in best, I'd like to see him next time before committing to one, I see serious potential in the horse though and will probably fly a little under the radar not being in Willies yard.

Surely Koktail Divin is a Turners horse if anything, looks far too speedy for the Bartlett.

I've done the EW double with July Flower for the Mares.

                  • Thoughts on Workahead too?

Bred to stay well enough, but that debut over 2m was very good.

                      • Surely you’d like to have seen Koktail go by Kaid the other day if being aimed at the Turners?

Mark Walsh more or less stopped riding last half furlong and nearly made a pigs ear of it. Appreciate the last flight was omitted so maybe that didn’t help matters.

I rate both horses very highly so it wouldn't bother me that Kaid won snug personally. Koktail divin with some proper winter ground be right up his street

                          • Hills have The Big Westerner priced at 16/1 for the Bartlett, in their Road to Cheltenham specials. Best price 12/1 elsewhere, Paddy’s have cut to 8’s. Might be of interest to some with today’s confirmation that she’ll be trained for the AB.

                            • Has there been anything mentioned on Argento Boy following his poor showing over Xmas ?
Given the positive noises re The Big Westerner and his price in the A Bartlett market it’s impossible not to like Argento Boy and at 50/1 he’d be a no brainer to get onside to me, especially if anyone is looking to back the former at 16/1 or shorter….

Have to be seriously concerned about his jumping Ista?

Twice now he's looked like a snooker table, so obviously hasn't learned one bit

The same will apply Kopek des bordes and Jasmin de Vaux if they don't improve on their next start.
