Think Argento Boy lost his clattering all those hurdles....

    • JDV only needs to jump adequately and his push button acceleration could be enough to get him home. Hopefully see him at Naas.

He won't need to if Salvator doesn't live up to expectations and Kopek goes Supreme

          Touche.

If Salvator Mundi doesn't live up to expectations, my novice bets will be in tatters.

            • Given how most of the Mullins horses have ran over the festive period (not travelling, struggling to finish out their races, poor jumping) - I think you can mark up the likes of Kopek and Kaid

                totally agree
the yard peaks at the DRF and Cheltenham fez, so novices that has ran well/won this weekend are ones to side with from this week

I'd add Kawaboomga, he ran off the pace but did well to finish close to the winner.

I asked the same the other day but don't think anyone has heard anything.

I said some time ago that Mullins will need to focus on his Irish trainers championship rather than focus on British one. Christmas gone nothing to change my view and Elliott is looking more and more likely to gain his first Irish championships in my opinion.

                      • Going through some unbacked horses and ones with question marks against them and have decided to drop Irancy out. The form of being 14L behind Firefox and Ballyburn was looking fairly impressive at one point but now that form is starting to unravel a bit and he beat a stayer in Will The Wise by 9L on his return. He is also fragile and hasn't been seen since that maiden win. Happy to think he won't be going to the festival in front of Kel Histoire and Kaid D'Authie now.

What are the odds on that.
                          a zillion I reckon

                          • As the dust settles on the immediate Christmas programme Jasmin de Vaux, the Festival bumper winner, should be at the foremost of everyone's thoughts. His win at Navan at the start of the month, beating both The Enabler and Workahead, has been enhanced by both those winning over the last few days.

Entered for the Lawlors of Naas race this coming Sunday.

I've read a few comments in here on The Enabler this week, not a horse I know well but I'd be a little worried he doesn't have the progressive profile you'd like to see from a novice.
He's had plenty of racing, didn't massively improve on his debut bumper run (RPR) in 3 further efforts and similar over hurdles though he hasn't be allocated an RPR for his Leopardstown win yet.
I may be being unfair here but good horses would be expected to improve hugely for 3/4 runs, not sure the numbers back that up for this one...

Of the ones thought of as not running their races…..do we know which are due to stable form and which are simply not good enough?
