The time to do roll ups is when they are over priced, and you're multiplying value by value.
I liked The New Lion today but wouldn't be interested in his price. It'd be a surprise to me if he wasn't 4/1 at some point on the Wednesday morning.

Plenty of time to get horses on side, especially ones not likely to run again before March.
And for every one you try and get on side 3 months or more away, at least 3 or 4 won’t even run for you in the end.

Taken some of the 100/1 about Regents Stroll.
The yard were extremely bullish on him prior to today, and his debut over 2m was extremely encouraging. Encouraging enough that they may well drop him back to 2m. They did it with Al Ferof. Could lightning strike twice? Probably not, but 100/1 is enough for me to want to find out.

Visually that was super impressive. And thanks to Ladbrokes he’s my biggest realistic winner in the race.
However, I’d be interested to see the ratings. The two other favs, Bill Joyce and Regents Stroll were keen and very keen respectively. And Regents Stroll made an error at the last (again). The horse in second has an RPR of 120. Electric Mason (129) has made the pace and not finished 10l back.
I’d say the winner was better than anything in last years Challow but I’d be surprised if he’s rated better than Hermes Allen when winning in 2022.
TNL has won as he liked, but I do feel the race rather fell apart. Who knows how much he had left under the bonnet.
