Absolutely. What am engine he must have to win like that, having jumped so poorly.

No chance he goes Supreme imo

Kopek jumped as bad as Jasmin at times, Jasmin picked up better with a turn of foot yet there was some serious negativity about Jasmin, but loads of positive about Kopek.

You can tell who everyone has backed
I have backed them both but that performance was better considering all the frailties. Lots to be positive about there i reckon. He will be miles better with a slower pace and Townend on top. Whinney Hill tried to steal the race and Kopek went with him probably faster than he wanted to go. He is a proper one.

        • Not a good watch that ride Kopek got.
Jumping weren’t great to watch either.
Proper Jockey next time will be interesting to see.
Hard to say which race would suit him better at Cheltenham from that imo.
          Need to see him again.

Yeah I agree. The engine and style of running screams Supreme to me. But he’s got to jump better.

Patrick bouncing up and down on his back (out of rhythm) didn't help either.
Ha ha ha, read this about a minute after my wife had commented ‘the jockey on that horse looks a bit funny’

I guess she’s a nice lady, as my comments were a fair bit stronger!!

Kopek Des Bordes emerged from the fog to hit the front at the last flight and make a winning start over hurdles in the opener at Leopardstown.

Ran too fresh for the Turners, didn't jump well enough for a Supreme. Both could be due to having Patrick on and his first run this season.

Passed his first test. Just need to see where he will be going next.

Both could be affected by having Paul on top. Patrick lit him up at the start. Was no need. Jumping will have to improve at home. I imagine it’ll be the 2m at the DRF then a month of speculation re his ultimate destination.

                      • So Willie has Kaid D'Authie declared for 2m4f.

He's just said Kawaboomga needs to potentially go further than 2m.

He also has Kel Historie for JP.

You'd imagine one of these will go Supreme for JP.
