If you run the races side by side, by the time they had got to the same place going by the starter (basically the start of the race) Kel histoire's time was at over 5secs and in the ROD race, that time hadnt been started until probably 8L after the starter on the steps.

Im assuming that’s why a lot of these time gurus go by first flight to the line as opposed to starting point.

Yeah. But Corks first hurdle is a few furlongs into the race so you're then ignoring if one race is ready in the first couple of furlongs and the other more strongly run. Hard to get an exact figure on it but KH was a fair bit faster than the other 2m race.
