Nice . Lovely when a plan comes together. Thought he was a good thing today. Really highly thought of by Twister and he's had some top horses. Thought the DS horse was flattered last time.

That was a very taking performance
Agreed mate, wiped the floor with 140 rated Valgrand.

New course likely to suit as well as he looks like he’ll devour the longer straight.

Think the DS horse needs to go back to 2 miles.
            Strange Choice of race imo

            • PC even better than I thought. Sam gave him a great ride by ensuring Harry couldn't slow it down. 1 of the 4 on the early AB shortlist hopefully gonna go there with a great chance. Another running this weekend and hopefully see the other 2 out soon.

Willy suggesting that the Ballymore would be preferred to the Bartlett. The Challow or even the Formby are likely next destinations.

                  ….post-race comments suggest Turners (now a best 20-1);

Assistant trainer Willy Twiston-Davies said: “I felt a bit of a wally last time saying he’d win like that, but that is what we expect of him, he’s just very naturally talented.

“Sam just said he jumped a lot better again today, but what you have to remember is Valgrand jumps exceptionally well so his jumping had to sharpen up from last time going a faster pace. I’m sure he’ll get better again.

“For him to do that on that ground – I can’t wait to see what he does on ground with a bit of dig in it, which is what he wants. He quickens up really well on soft ground.

“I think we’ll let the dust settle, but I was talking to Sam and we’ll either go to the Challow Hurdle (Newbury) or maybe drop back to two (miles) on soft ground for the Tolworth (Formby at Aintree), we’ll just work back from the Festival and make sure we get him there in the best shape possible.”

He went on: “We’ve won a novice, won a novice here and now a Grade Two, he’s proved he’s a Festival horse. He doesn’t seem to have had the hardest race, but maybe that is his talent speaking.

“When you put a 140-rated horse away so easily like that you can’t help but be impressed. I feel a bit vindicated as he doesn’t show the most at home, but when he comes to the track he lights up. He’s come in and he’s not blowing.

“We’re very lucky to have a horse like this for these owners. They’ve had success with Dan and Paul (Nicholls) and now they’ve sent us two horses and both are nice.

“He’s shown a lot of speed there so I imagine he’s a Ballymore (Turners) horse. The Albert Bartlett can be a bit of a graveyard.”

                    • He looks all over a bartlett horse to me, has the ratings to win it as well, the turner's he's still a fair way off on ratings.

He could probably be competitive in both
Sounds like connection’s are favouring Turners but still early days

                        • If he is the best of the British and wins the Challow then anything over 12/1 for the big one would represent some value. Not seen the race yet as I'm at work but a 10 length victory sounds impressive but we always seem to get one of these every year over here (uk) a horse that seems to be a beast only to meet the Irish and fall back into line. Queens Gamble, Burdett Road, Hermes Allen. Good to have them in the book though if the each way odds are worth having. Bit like sounds Victorious today. Phil Rothwell had a couple of big priced winners. I would say he had these trained to the limit for today whereas sounds Victorious was always going to be improving for it. A bit like Fascile Mode a couple of years ago in that bumper where he beat all the hot pots, now they can't give him away. Lot of water to go under the bridge but it's great fun isn't it. Can't wait to see Found A Fifty over 2m in a hot race on the weekend. That will open a few more doors. Probably will be the forum favorite of 2024/25.

                            • Very slim chance in the Turners IMO - they talk about the AB being a graveyard but the Turners is an absolute slaughterfest for the British.

I'd have thought they'd go for the grade 2 at Warwick then on to Cheltenham but may as well try and win a grade 1 if they can.
