….i’d be interested in any post-race comments but not seen any. The plan was a listed Mares Novice at Newbury at the end of this month.
She powered through to lead at the last but jumped it very badly. Really good attitude to get back up (might appreciate the Cheltenham hill) but Fry will have to work on that jumping.
Edit; found this; “
"I feel better now the photo-finish has been called," said Fry. "She looked like she came there to win her race nicely at the last and to dig deep and get herself back in front after what happened showed she has the guts to go with her latent ability.
"It was messy up the straight but she got the job done and can build from here. I had in mind the mares' Listed novice hurdle at Newbury at the end of the month but we'll have to see as she's given herself a harder race than we'd have liked."

The 4th and 5th horses have already been stuffed in poor maidens. Not saying she’s no good at all but she’s 1 million miles off being in the Cheltenham mares novice picture atm.
Nott convinced at all with the winner, but she needs to be seen again for sure

She was out early enough. Love Envoi didn't see a hurdle until early December then had 4 quick races (Wins) before bolting up in the MNH for Harry. There's plenty of time/races for her to get some good practice in before her festival target. If he thinks she is as good as or better than Love Envoi then that'll do for me. She's already had experience of the Cheltenham course/hill having won a Bumper there impressively so that's a big tick in her box.Last edited by Lobos; 11 November 2024, 08:06 AM.

If she can iron out the mistakes I don't see any reason why she wouldn't beat him again though should they ever meet again which is unlikely. She did amazingly well to get anywhere near the places let alone win based on how she jumped throughout the race. Not many Novices could have done what she did from that position.
The 2nd was not an easy ride at all and pulled and wandered about and still nearly won, must have a fair engine.
Anyway like you say , they are probably off in different directions now.

I liked Hendos winner at Kempton yesterday, was quite impressed with that.
No idea how good he is or can be but it was a nice debut I thought.
Not priced up anywhere that I can see…… probably just as well!!
Have had a little dabble for Supreme on his at Lingfield today, Centreofattention.
He got a good mention in his stable tour.
Thought the price was worth a go, just in case!!Last edited by Carnage at Taunton; 12 November 2024, 07:03 AM.
