  • Fairly impressive - 2nd was 6 lengths behind The New Lion in bumpers. Not sure there's many options for him towards the end of the month before going for the Tolworth perhaps.

…Anno Power now a best 25-1 MNH ahead of her run tomorrow, I imagine it’s on the back of comments made by Fry in his stable tour.

      • 25's is short but after his comments it's not surprising. Remember he also trained Champion Hurdler Rock On Ruby.

Thought it was a good performance as well. Looks like Challow the aim - sounds like he's more of a Bartlett than a Supreme horse...

"You have to be happy with that," said Jonjo snr. "It was a nice race and he jumped reasonably well. The first mile he's flat out and then he warms up and turns the turbo on.
"Hopefully, he's something to look forward to and we'll see what we do with him, but there are races like the Challow Hurdle."
"He's an amazing horse as he doesn't show you anything at home, but thankfully he lights up when he comes here,"
O'Neill added. "The last one I had like that was Synchronised and hopefully he'll follow that."

Haven't seen the quotes. Thought they'd leave him over 2m until he was beat. Challow can be a right slog of a race so not sure that's gonna suit him.

Off thread, but he never really trained Ruby early on….

No, but he did prepare him to win the Champion Hurdle at PN's satellite stable so rightfully got the credit.

                • That was a hard race. Didn't jump great but there is an engine there. Not sure what to make of that.

….Anno Power cut across the boards to a general 16-1 (MNH) except Lads who are still 25s.

                    • She's obviously got a big engine, but by god, that was as bad a round of jumping I've seen for a fair while. Makes all sorts of shapes over them.

Her class got her through there

Definitely something to take close note of next time, see if she has learnt or not

As low as 12's in places. Bit of an over reaction from bookies imo but can see why she's popular. The 3rd home today finished 2nd in a PTP to Port Joulain and also 2nd to Mister Meggit in a Bumper . The horse in 2nd has decent back form as well. She could be very good.
