    Here’s Barry O’Neills thoughts on him after the PTP win, they seem to allude to plenty of stamina & “a big engine”

    He narrowly missed my 5yo point to point shortlist as I’m not a huge fan of the sire. He looks a real stayer and Gordon was keen to keep him in the yard. I’m not sure if it’s been confirmed he’ll go hurdling but they shouldn’t waste time in bumpers with him.

      As a 5yr old turning 6 surely they’ll crack on over obstacles. The sire did make me think twice but when stamina is in doubt I always prioritise the dams lines initially.

        Soldier Of Fortune does well in points but I don’t feel they progress that much over time. Gordon is more likely to go hurdling with 5yo so fingers crossed he does as I don’t like old horses in bumpers. The style of his point win he’ll be up in trip fairly quickly I’d say.

        • Around half of Gordon's winners have been outside of Handicaps then. Surprised me that. Quite a few were obviously XCC and NHC though (10 wins)

          • Is anybody concerned that nearly every Cheltetnham ante post YouTube channel has tipped up Kopek Des Bordes but the ante post price keeps holding up? Just asking@. What ever the race.

              Clap Of Thunder, who was second to Kopek Des Bordes at Fairyhouse, goes in the 2:10 Chepstow today for an early guide to the form. Personally I will wait till I See KDB over hurdles as breeding is full of stamina on the dam's side. Bit more pace with the sire, but winning a heavy ground 4yo bumper to me suggests stamina whilst you have to go back to Cinders And Ashes for the last 5yo Supreme winner to come from a Bumper background ( 4 5yo winners since with 3 coming from French Hurdles & 1 P2P). Even the Gallaghers has seen just 1 5yo winner in the last 11 years and that was Impaire Et Passe who had won a 1m 4f AQPS in France showing the pace he clearly possesses. That leaves the Albert Bartlett but then you have to go back to 2014 for the last 5yo winner with only 2 5yos winning since the races introduction in 2005.

                    • 6 5yo's have won the Gallagher in the last 20 years. Sounds a bit better than 1 in 11....

                          Was on my MNH shortlist but has had a fair few runs on the flat over the summer. I am not too keen on horses racing all year, might be over the top by the time Cheltenham comes around. She is a lovely horse though.

                          Re - Cesarewitch, i have just stuck a pin in and gone for Samui and Bashful Boy

                          • ….Pauling appears to like what he sees in Diva Luna;

                            ‘She is obviously unbeaten in two bumpers - the listed race at Market Rasen and the Mares’ Aintree bumper. She was pretty unextended to win both and I think she is a very, very smart individual who will, hopefully, go some way to being a top mares’ novices’ hurdler this season. The aim would be to be at the Festival, and whether it would be in the Supreme, Ballymore or the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle we will find out. She is unbelievable in her schooling sessions, and she will run at the end of this month in a mares’ novice and then we will look to run in the Listed Mares’ Novice at Newbury and then may go to the Jane Seymour before the Festival.‘

                            On a theme Yosser, it’s Anna Bunina for me in the Ces (also joined you with Bashful Boy).

                            • Sixandahalf lame and not running I’ve been told, just if anyone has an antepost position on her. Not Cheltenham related apologies.

                                Vying for favourite currently. Have quite a big bet on her for today so probably won’t cash out but I’m now torn with this info
