The Enabler report from yesterday
The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. P. Hassett, that J.W. Kennedy, rider of The Enabler, had weighed in 1.1 lb overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case and stated that he was unable to account for the discrepancy other than to say that his mount got quite wound up and had sweat alot. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J
W. Kennedy was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended J. W. Kennedy for two racedays

Potentially one for Bartlett or more likely handicaps.

Derryhassen Paddy has been entered at Hexham on Saturday. Like The Enabler, I’m a little surprised they’re starting at 2m but Lucinda knows more than I do. I’ll expect he’ll be kept to the Northern tracks for his first couple of runs and venture south later in the season, if he’s up to the level I think he could be. I have no doubt he’ll be running over further as the season progresses.

On the topic of Gordon’s yard he has a lovely staying prospect for novice hurdles this year in Son Of Anarchy, a Soldier of Fortune gelding out of a Flemensfirth mare.
He won a truely ran end to end PTP at Lingstown on the bridle by 15 lengths to a gelding that Elliott also purchased Jazz De Cotte, he subsequently won a decent bumper at Ayr beating some smart types including Champion Bumper 13th Cest ta Chance comprehensively into 4th.
Here’s Barry O’Neills thoughts on him after the PTP win, they seem to allude to plenty of stamina & “a big engine”
