I'd be surprised if they don't give him a break now, also I think the 2m race today was for a few reasons, quicken up his jumping & also the Tolworth isn't a great race historically for Ballymore(Turners) horses,be very very surprised if they went 2m again with him over hurdles.

He's not even Mason and Ferguson's best prospect IMO for that race. Potters Charm all out and he's beat the 3rd 7 lengths.

Regents Stroll on the bridle beat him 9.5 lengths after a huge mistake 2 out.

I do think Regents Stroll is a different animal to the likes of Bravemansgame, Stage Star etc and probably still won't be good enough to win the Turners. I'm just hoping RS shows it on Saturday.

The one thing Potter has done though is prove he handles the track and now has the all important 2m form.

If RS wins though, will connections want to split them, meaning Potter stays at 2m? Probably not but may come under consideration.

      • Little chance I'd say. I suppose one or the other could go Supreme if it turned up Heavy.

WTD says straight to the Turners now.

                • I wonder if Kawaboomga might be aimed at the potato race. He looked like a trip would suit. Big horse too, stamina might be his bag.

I think he's a JP horses with 2 runs under his belt, could be a handicap job next season. Maybe one or two more runs this season.

Stayed on really well today, I thought, considering Kopek is meant to be really well regarded.

I think he may get a chance up in grade. Perhaps run him at the DRF and see how he gets on with a stronger pace. Then, as COD says, maybe put aside for a staying novice hurdle campaign next year.

                      • I know it's been a busy day, but surprised no one has mentioned Kientzheim. Thought she won very cosily, and could argue her best work was at the finish, meaning a stiffer track like Cheltenham may well suit.

Will need to work on her hurdling at times but that seemed to have little consequence given how she ended up winning.

                        • I’ve given up on those novices not won a maiden yet to get to the festival. So my novice hurdle shortlist is trimmed.
nice boost for Jasmin de vaux form today at leopardstown. Naas then turners. C’mon

                            Yes, she’s good.
I thought the jumping was ok, and liked the way she traveled and finished.
May well be looked after a tad, but could be a player at the festival at decent odds, if she turns up.

…..looks an oversight with 14-1 a/r Hills (17.5-1 with epic boost) when they only go 12-1 MNH.

There were 852 races yesterday so it’s hard to mention them all

She did it nicely although a very low quality affair compared to the maidens in Ireland over this period. Buts she’s not without potential.
