I don't think he's that positive in the video is he... Someone else says the first sentence anyway

Appreciate you're just passing it on as reported but it's interestingly different when you watch the video.

He actually says 'is he the best we've got in that?' In an almost negative way imo

      Agreed.

He was asked if Formal Demand led the Nathaniel Lacy team, he didn’t offer it.

His reply in the video, was to say “is he the best we’ve got, in the race?” - then go on to mention Supersundae, and that he would need the step up in trip.
So it wasn’t a ringing endorsement of Formal Demand, though the race will sort that out anyway, as they probably won’t know for sure, until it’s run, by the sound of it.

Those are the two horses I’ve been interested in for the race, since early entries were released, so I hope it turns out to be the best two for him at the finish of the race.

He won it with Dancing City at 16/1 last season, with Predators Gold being the Mullins hotpot around Even money (I think) so being his 2nd or 3rd horses in the betting in Novice and Juvenile races at the DRF isn’t a concern - Danny Mullins won 3 Grade 1s on the trot (first 3 races?) from his stables 2nd and 3rd strings on Day 1 last season.

I was hoping his son would be able to control him and to an extent I think he has but this yard won’t operate like one of the very big yards until the old man pisses off to the pub or takes up fishing. Again I hope I am wrong and I respect EAs take on this I’m just not convinced by it.
This made me laugh. Young Hustler was trained by NTD and ran him 13 times in his novice chase season, starting on 5Sep, before he won the RSA at the festival. It was great getting to see him running every other week which was one of the reasons why I loved him so much. Luckily it didn't do YH too much harm. NTD gave him a lighter following year by only running him 7 times before he finished 3rd in the GC.

        • Really looking forward to this next race at Fairyhouse, maiden hurdle - Koktail, Munny and Boomga

My heart has won today, and I've had a single of Koktail at 6's, the drifter out of the 3. I just think he will jump better than these. Henrys form, I have to ignore

Going against what I'm seeing with my eyes, and backing with the heart. lol bookies liking up to take my money

If you fancy some more pain, he's out to 40s for the turners on 365/PP

I was going to wait and back him after today's race but that performance has left me underwhelmed to say the least

              • Kawaboomga won easily there didn't he, boosts Kopek's form after not jumping well at all also.

Henry's horse needs to go back up I think but also the yard are running poorly.

Munny needs to work on his jumping.

                • WM had the run of the race, Kawaboomga not in an ideal position but picked him up well. KD run can be forgiven with Henry's form. Not sure what they'll do with him now. Is there much point losing his maiden tag now? Only 5 so could come again next season as a novice while taking in graded races for this season.

                  • ….Kawaboomga into 20s Sup and Turn although it looks like Lads go 25-1 and 33-1 respectively.

                    • WM could win a decent pot before the end of the season, if they teach him how to relax.

                      • Have both Kawaboomga & Willam Munny for the Supreme, not sure either will be there or thereabouts though.

Small boost for Kopek but not reading too much into to be honest.

                        • Mullins said Kawaboomga to turners... So Kaid and Kel to the supreme and JP will have 2 in each?

Kel may go to the grade 2 at Fairyhouse possibly - usually an easy enough 2m4 grade 2 to win, but big gap with Cheltenham this year so could have one running in the Turners and there. I don't think they'll try again over 2m personally but they won't make a decision on any of them until closer to the time. Need Kaid to come out and run well at the DRF first. If Kopek wins that well, would JP not want to keep Kawaboomga at 2m and avoid Kopek and TNL?

Probably too much thought on 2 horses I don't think will win at Cheltenham (KH and Kawaboomga)

He was very definite as well re the Turners.
Said the extra trip and Cheltenham will suit.
Tried to get the 50 with 365 but locked!!
20’s is probably reasonable if you take the trainer’s comments seriously.

                              • What do we make of the kaid d’authie formline now, albeit a different trip today for Henry's, but 22 lengths of the action today, doesn't look great..
