Some turn of foot to get to the front on bad ground.
    Impressive enough for me...
Yep, needs a good pace and may well improve the jumping, and has to cos jumping like that in the Supreme he’s no chance imo.

keens the hopes alive for those already on him, but someone told you during that race that he was the fav for the supreme, you’d be a little surprised
Yeah, the 3-1 being quoted is fucking mad.

      • Let's hope he jumps better travelling quicker in the Supreme. That seems to be what Paul T and Ruby W are suggesting. They don't seem to be worried about his jumping. Maybe he just needs to be travelling quicker to see him at his best. He has an engine that is for sure. SM to Supreme. KH to Turners.

          Way too keen
That’s key for me as he has to come on a lot for the run. Ruby mentioned that point before the race saying PT would not be interested in contesting it. Some of the early jumping was down to being too fresh as well.

          • He clearly has the engine and it was impressive how he swept past them all in a matter of strides.

PT didn't sound concerned about his jumping either.

I'd rather be a backer than a layer at 4/1 tbh.

            • Been some really iffy jumping from Mullins brigade last few weeks, odd. SM hopefully improves, sure he will, and to me it looks a bit of a poor supreme, so not without hope.

I think he'll be one to go from the front in the Supreme though. Didn't look to settle well in behind.
Bang on and everyone poo pooed him. The rest is History. He just wins.

You see it every day, novices look vert novicey when they crawl, SM was pulling like a loon for a furlong before Paul got him settled, when they go a proper gallop horses settle and concentrate better and that invariably leads to them jumping better,
                  I'm not concerned...

                      • Aye listening to PT the keenness and slow pace seemed to be what he was blaming for the jumping, didn’t seem concerned. Will definitely need to sharpen up but you’d like to think a faster pace which is pretty much guaranteed first race of the festival will suit down to the ground.

He kept mentioning the ground so it must be quite tacky which wouldn’t have suited being his first run as well.

                          I am!!
Just can’t jump like that and expect to win a Supreme
Yes he could improve with a faster pace but we don’t know for sure that he will.
Anyway I can’t cash out so will hope he does improve.

                          • He's obviously well thought of, and a good horse with good chances in the supreme.
But you'd want a 7/2 shot at this stage to not be trotting out excuses,

Yep, fresh ground at Cheltenham regardless of going will eradicate that issue,,,,

                              • Cobwebs blown away, it's funny sometimes the wins from these small runner tactical fields look harder then what they actually were. I wonder if they let him bowl along he'd have proved his credentials at the head of the market.
