Hello Fat Jockeys,

Beat a fair field, which included William Munny & Redemption Day. Age is against him, but was a very good performance @ Leopardstown over Christmas.

Could argue he had the benefit of a run of course, but he's won well enough! Suspect it will be the DRF for him next time out.
This is one of my books mob and I am delighted to see a few others, including yourself, give him a mention. 25s is excellent given what we've seen so far.

Backed for the Supreme/Turners here too. It was mentioned on here that Kilgame badly needed his debut run so if he comes out and wins next time we could have Henry's novices sorted

      Workahead - Supreme
      Kilgame - Turners
      Koktail Divin - Bartlett

Yeshill has been entered here there and everywhere for the past month without running but he is in the double green so would probably be JJ Slevin's ride anyway if good enough and would probably slot in with something else if good enough.

      • I like Workahead too, took 28s after his last win. I like Kel Histoire for the Supreme also, got a bit of 50's on him before his debut so they're the two I like for the Supreme. On The New Lion at 33/1 for Turners so sitting pretty there. Was really impressed with Final Demand over Christmas, thought 16/1 for the Albert Bartlett was very fair. Like Sainte Lucy for the Triumph, 12/1 still available for her I think is fair also! Just my tuppence worth on the Novice Hurdlers as it stands.

        • With Harry keeping the ride on The New Lion in the Turners does that make it a little easier predicting that Walsh rides Kaid DAuthie and Paul Kopek?

Walsh can then pick up the ride on Kel Histoire in the Supreme with Paul hopefully on Mundi.

That's how I'd like it to work out for me personally

But I suppose it depends if Kel Histoire makes the grade in whats likely the Moscow Flyer and how Kaid D'authie performs at the DRF over 2m

If Kel is outpaced over 2, and Kaid wins the DRF, all can change.

I've been doing combinations of those 4 horses though between the Supreme and Ballymore

Walsh rides the Irish JP horses so very much doubt he’d ever get the ride on The New Lion. JP doesn’t really have a UK jockey and seems to leave it up to trainers nowadays.

But yes Kel or Kaid for Walsh I’d say, even Kawaboomga, so 2 from those 3 depending how they perform upped in grade. Wouldn’t be trying to call who goes where at this point of the Irish runners, all 3 with WPM as well.

Or Mark on Kaid in Supreme and Kel in Turners!

How I see it as this stage but didn’t want to get into it Kaid looked more a supreme type on both his runs imo. Kel showed a nice turn of foot from the last, albeit against a tree.

Yeah, could go either way, tbh!

                    • I watched the Kaid , Kel and Kopek races back again. Kaid did it easier than I first thought. Jumped and travelled well and always in control. Looked more a Turners run but could see him making all in soft ground Supreme. So he could go either way. Kopek for me looked every bit a stayer and I couldn't see him winning a Supreme. I reckon he'd be outpaced. Kel on the other hand looked all speed. Loved the way he jumped and really quickened up and for me he looks more of a Supreme horse than any of the others. Kawaboomga could also get involved somewhere as he ran a nice race and looked like he'd improve massively for the run. The DRF will be very informative.

Harry keeping the ride was agreed in the deal Craigy so that's a given. Helps punters so fair play to JP.

That's what i want. I have them both covered for both races and there isn't all that much in it returns wise but this way round suits me best. I actually believe this is the order they will be thinking of. Willie mentioning 'Kel Histoire' and 'staying' in the same sentence has stuck with me. It is about this point in the season where i go back and watch all of the stable tours all over again. It has proved very handy in the past. Now the season has progressed, things get said that at the time you brush off or don't take much notice of but when you hear it again you think 'oh hang on a minute'

What about both Kaid and Kel going Supreme and The New Lion and Kawaboomga going Turners? Haven't really considered that but it isn't beyond the realms of possibility. Kawaboomga to the Bartlett more likely maybe?

Kawaboomga is still a novice, he may be held back.

His next entry will be telling.
