"I feel better now the photo-finish has been called," said Fry. "She looked like she came there to win her race nicely at the last and to dig deep and get herself back in front after what happened showed she has the guts to go with her latent ability.

"It was messy up the straight but she got the job done and can build from here. I had in mind the mares' Listed novice hurdle at Newbury at the end of the month but we'll have to see as she's given herself a harder race than we'd have liked."

Up towards the very top yes in terms of talent. But they do their talking on the track really that's where they get sorted , they don't work together in groups like other divisions would away from the track to sort out.

Cheers Eggs. Perhaps she has taken longer than expected to get over it. The MNH looks seriously up for grabs so hopefully she can come out and win her prep before a big run in March. Are you on her as well ??

        • Imagine buying horses over the years for big success and the moment you are told you've got a good one you sell it, something doesn't sit right with the sale of The New Lion for me.

The guy brought horses for big money to win nationals etc.... now has a big chance (according to the market) of a Cheltenham Festival winner and sells up!

Could beat Kopek and ultimately send Kopek to the Turners? Especially now Jasmin has flopped.

Considering how many bumper horses he has it has to be said the majority of the 'top' ones have jumped like wardrobes and been somewhat underwhelming!

Jasmin De Vaux - Seemingly scared of hurdling.

Kopek - Struggled with his jumping, supposedly has excuses, if believed.

Sounds Victorius - Beat on debut, bounced back since.

            Fishery - Beat on debut.

            Belloccio - Can't jump a hurdle.

Sea Of Sands - Struggled hurdling.

There are probably a few more I'm missing, but it's almost like most of them haven't even schooled over hurdles!

Maybe they're just an average bunch, and the stand out one (Mundi) has yet to be seen.

Apparently he still has some financial hold on the horse in bonuses should he be successful going forward?

                • Anyone confident enough to double down on Salvator Mundi if he's not declared for the Moscow Flyer? His price would invariably go out so could be a good time to hoover decent prices on the exchanges when people will be looking to cash out.

                    …I am, Matey. I was really taken with the Stable Tour comments. Hopefully all is well, a little concerned she’s not been since early Nov;

‘She has schooled great and has shown us lots of speed on the track, and at home. Hopefully all roads lead to the Dawn Run Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

“The plan is to run her in a maiden hurdle at Sandown on Sunday and all being well she will then go to Newbury for a mares’ Listed novices’ hurdle there at the end of the month. We will be sticking at two miles with her and hopefully have lots of fun.

“She is as good as any of the good mares we have had. I’m not sure I’ve trained a horse with such a turn off foot before.

“We have got to go out and do it all again now over hurdles, but she is a lovely mare and as good, at this stage, to any other mare we have had.”

                    • Harry fry has really struggled for any kind of form this season.
You only need to look at his figures for the season.
I'd say that hes looking after the better ones until the stable form improves.
                      7 runners from the last 14 days, 3 pulled up, 1 faller, 8th, 7th and 2nd.
7 wins since april, running at 10% strike rate compared with 17% over the last 5 seasons.
I really hope his fortunes turn around

That's the bit that struck me Eggs..........if she's as good as Love Envoi then she'd smash them in March !

Yes Aaron. Probably best he has his bad spell now. Get it out the way and be firing on all cylinders in the Spring.

At least they've got a run into her unlike some hyped up Novices!!

Yep he’s a businessman and most business folks learn to avoid the temptation to let their hearts rule their head. I suspect he went into the game with romantic notions like most but over time reality kicked in and his business brain took over and he planned his exit strategy…..which I suspect has been executed to the letter. Get a really good one, wait for the offer that can’t be turned down but retain interest with future add ons. Even if it wasn’t a plan to do it this way he likely was planning to get out anyway and he opportunistically took advantage of the situation he found himself in. I don’t think anyone on either side of the fence need be too concerned personally.

                          • 5/2 fast disappearing for The New Lion. Into a general 9/4 now.

Supreme still 10/1 the field. Never ever seen that this close to the Festival.

The only Supreme I can remember like this was when Cinders and Ashes won and it was 6/1 or 7/1 the field, at the off.
