If Mundi isn't ready enough to get entries in January they've been held up in working him at home as based off the stable tours he's been back in since October, maybe a little earlier,if you can't get one ready to race in 12 weeks you're not a trainer, let alone a multiple times champion.
The only question left is...is it growing pains/weakness or an injury holding them up.

I think people are panicking over nothing. If he hasn't run by first weekend on Feb, then I'll start to get worried.
Couldn't see it personally with Kopek heading that way already.
If hes no entry on Tuesday, I'd be pretty worried
He was hard enough to get right last season, and clearly everything hasnt gone to plan with him this season either.
The Royal Bond, Xmas, Munster Hdle & Moscow Flyer would have all been suitable starting points for him, and if he's in none of those, that would worry me (and I'm invested in him, albeit reduced after his Xmas omission)

More on the Romeo for me!!
as an aside, I often nail my colours to the mast and win or fall accordingly. If one of my fancies gets pushed out, I often back again. I couldn’t believe that both Romeo and clay were both 20/1 after their penultimate starts. Equally, today I’ve topped up on Firefox at 25/1. I can recall he ran a stinker at this meeting last year, before coming to life at the spring festivals.
after Lossie getting beaten at Christmas, 8/1 ew for churdle looked a gift.

He has plenty of experience so they just need to blow away the cobwebs before the Supreme.

From what we've seen of Willies so far he may think Mundi is the best he has . If that's the case then pitching him in the deep end first time in the DRF wouldn't worry him. Half the runners in the race would probably be in the same yard anyway. If he was in the same form as his maiden demolition then nothing would get close to him. If however he doesn't make the Fez then that'll be a huge boost for others we have all backed.

Watched TYC race back again. He destroyed them really. Had the race covered/won from some way out. Has a mix of speed and stamina and jumps economically. Tough as you like. Definitely a player in both races. Probably be Turners if Soft and Albert if the sun comes out.
Paul knew his fate a long way out on Jasmine and didn't kill him to get involved late on so perhaps he'll look a different horse at the DRF. Worth another chance.
The 2nd horse would be a big player in the Albert imo. Ran on really well without troubling the winner and clearly will benefit from the experience.

They could put him in open grade if needed. The Limestone Lad is on 26th. Usually needs a decent performance to win it though.
In Feb, there's the novice Tullyhill won at Punchestown about 4 weeks before Cheltenham.
Rossington Main novice at Haydock on 18th but if he isn't ready for the Moscow Flyer, he won't be ready 6 days later. A few races available in England for him if they don't mind coming across
The other thing is to just throw him into a 2m handicap hurdle. Plenty of those.
