  • Sounds like Wingmen will go over 3 miles according to Gordon. Digging those WTAF bets out of the bin. Thought he behaved a lot better today.

Don't look like its definite bartlett looking at exchange

Paddy Power and Betfair make The Yellow Clay a 6/1 chance (from 12s) for the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham in March.

"From halfway through to the second-last he travelled great," Elliott told Racing TV. "It was a good performance. We wanted a good, honest gallop and it worked out beautifully. Sam was just sat in fourth, he thought he got there a bit soon.

When asked about potential Cheltenham Gold Cup plans, he added: "I'd imagine the middle-distance race (Turners Novices' Hurdle)."

He's no chance in the turners. IMO
          Agreed

It was a Challow like slog for stayers today over 2m4f

Something will surely be quicker and classier than him

If mundi runs in and wins the Moscow flyer can see him being willies main Supreme horse

Then maybe a kopek des bordes wins the 2 mile at the DRF then goes turners like sir G and ballyburn did

if kaid dauthe was to win it you'd imagine he'd go Supreme with JP buying the new lion

the novice hurdlers in Ireland aren't looking at vintage crop atm are they

          • I think TYC could be a good one.
Get the feeling he may have surpassed their expectations today on that ground?
If he’s done that despite the ground then the signs are good and probably means they won’t go 3m this season.

Impressive from TYC, but you could tell Elliotts stole it halfway down the back it was game over.

Another one of Henrys blowing out there, thats all 5 of his today looking lifeless.

STD poor also, he was never going a yard.
Burch and Shuffler weren’t happy from before halfway.

                • Compared to the other top trainers, Willie seems to have a larger percentage of his novice hurdlers jumping poorly. You wouldn't see a Hendo or Elliott horse jumping like JDV has the last twice.

Thing is TYC has looked good on ground better than that today
I wouldn’t be making quick judgements because he won a slow ground race over 2m 4 when he’s won over that distance on much better ground.

                    • I'm hoping Kel Histoire will be JP's main Supreme horse after his next run, potentially in the Moscow Flyer. Then Kaid Dauthie can go to either, same applies with Kawaboomga. He'll have 2 in each race imo. Got a feeling we ain't going to see Salvator Mundi at all!

Likewise. Cashed 25/1 after his last performance where he needed every yard.

I think it was Ruby who was saying they don’t do much schooling before their debut and prefer them to learn on the job. You can tell! It’s been terrible this year.

JDV, Kopek, The Last Kingdom have been absolutely shocking.

                              You may well be right

But personally the recent success iv had in the turners is backing horses with 2 mile form

P2P, 2m hurdles form, a turn of foot and even Champion Bumper 1-2 is what I look for and so for that reason I'm not sure The Yellow Clay is going to be winning a Turners! He ticks no boxes for me!

If it comes up as heavy today then he'll have a chance, if not, he's not for me.
