Bought a mare a decade or more back I think, finished nowhere and he then retired her

Some do work out though - Buveur DAir, Corbetts Cross etc

      • Franchoek I believe was bought to win the Triumph hurdle way back when and finished second.

Yeah the year he had Binocular. Ended up with the 1-2 in the Supreme and no win in the Triumph. If he hadn't bought Franchoek, chances are he would have had the double

          • So Yates has explained the sale on Nick Luck’s podcast and said he wants out of racing by the end of the season. A complete contrast to his words after the Challow.

Not surprising after some of the horses he ended up buying!!

Probably took the opportunity, whilst he has a horse worth a little bit, to get some of that money back!

Definitely. He said he had two choices. Sell them all in a dispersal sale, or sell them after each has performed very well.

Can’t recall who said it earlier on, but it confirms that his words after the Challow were bout but a sales pitch.

He doesn’t come across brilliantly in the podcast, but that’s just my thought.

Looking at the ridiculous money Cauldwell and Chris Giles got for horses in training there might be a few more heading for the exit door

Doesn’t bode well for NH racing going forward

However it could open the door for new owners to get involved

                  • In my industry.

JP McManus would be classed as a vulnerable client, and if after prompting him to have a friend or family present ?
He opted to bring his friend Frank Berry.

Our firm would refuse to do business with them.

His fucking mansion must be full of fucking readers digest's and coin collections.

                    • Supersundae has been backed in today's Lawlors but still 100 with 365 for the Turners.

Yes, it’s a crazy price, always has been. Got a glowing comment in the stable tour and was quite keen in his maiden hurdle win which wouldn’t scream AB. If he’s as good as WPM hints then the Turners could be a good fit. Obv caveat is he will be qualified for handicap race after today, the Pipe being top of the list.

I think Sax gave him a good mention in his diary as well with him being highly tried first time up in the Supreme and running a fair race.

Good point re Handicap though. Worth keeping an eye on how he runs today. Might get the bounce factor from Patrick to unsettle him through the race.

I'm probably paying a portion of my indemnity insurance for people like you and that bellend John Dance.
