Do we know the owner of Manon yet?
I don't have the owner in my notes and couldn't find anything online either.

      To follow on from yesterday.

Better Days Ahead 25/1 (BANC) - Ultimately the market is dominated by Willie, with him having the top 3 in the betting plus many more in behind, but ultimately I don't see all of them facing off against each other. Dancing City looks the obvious one, and rightly so, on what he achieved over hurdles last season. He should have no issue switching to the bigger obstacles, based on his p2p success, however, I do feel that Better Days Ahead, despite being held by Dancing City on the Punchestown form, might improve more for a fence than Dancing City will, and only has a few lengths to make up in the process. Better Days Ahead is two and half times the price of Dancing City and represents some value, IMO.

Wingmen 20/1 (Bartlett) - A big old baby last season, though still managed to perform well enough to land 2 of his 3 bumpers and a 3rd to William Munny in 'that' Naas bumper. This was off the back of a facile win in his p2p (the horse in 2nd that day has been doing pretty well since joining Gavin Cromwell too). His final performance of last season at Punchestown he went off on his own and set a fair enough pace, you'd be expecting a few to come and pick him off but he found for pressure off the final bend and although was closed down in the final stages of the race he never really looked like getting caught. There were some fair animals that couldn't go with him that day too, and ultimately disappointed when better was seemingly expected. He's by Kayf Tara out of a Flemensfirth mare, so I'm expecting an intermediate to long distance for him as the season progresses. If he doesn't perform enough to get a shot at the Bartlett then he could end up being a Pipe horse for last seasons winning connections.

….worth chucking in your Gallagher’s fancy, or are we keeping that under wraps?

I would take a punt on Quantum Boy, IF we knew he was going straight over hurdles.

Of those we do know about it's between Jasmin & Jalon, although I've also backed Romeo, but all three are well found in the market, I'm afraid, so nothing exciting.

Eyes peeled on what is said of Quantum Boy for me though, whenever that may be.

I really liked his PTP and he’s got the right connections. But I’d worry about not having seen him yet. He’s been at Closutton since before Christmas and most of those tend to get a run out in a March/April bumper.

Also, I don’t think any horse competing in a novice hurdle at Cheltenham has gone straight over hurdles at Willie’s when coming from the PTP sphere. The only exception being Asterion Forlenge who missed his entire bumper year due to injury.

Perhaps one to wait for stable tours for?

Yeah, I've not backed him yet.

I'll be waiting for some sort of word from the yard.

                Sounds Victorious.....Albert Bartlett

Ran really well in both the Cheltenham and Punchestown Bumpers without really threatening the leaders. Stayed on really well in both races looking like a step up in trip would definitely suit. Probably doesn't have the pace to win a Gallagher so the Albert looks right for him.

Sounds Victorious was Jonny Dinneen's eye catcher for Cheltenham 2025 in the last episode of Upping the Ante.

With a Choice of two possible races , I'd put up Regent's Stroll for this Months Yankee , Gallagher's or Al bartlett .
Cost a tidy packet , and the Sky's the limit ., according to Paul Nicholls .
                      .............................
Also very Keen on Golden Ace for the Mares hurdle , although i know she's in already. - Jeremy Scott .
                      ............................
Last month i suggested The Jukebox Man for the b.a.n.c. , with Ben Pauling .
                      ........................
I've backed Grey Dawning for the Gold cup , but again , the Ryanair might come into the Equation ??. - Dan Skelton .
                      ...........................
See where this is Heading !! , a nice little Home Ground Trainers Yankee .
                      --------------------
                      Golden Ace - mares hdl. . - 10-1 .
                      Regent's Stroll . - gallagher . - 33-1 .
                      The Jukebox Man - b.a.n.c. - 14-1 .
                      Grey Dawning . - ryanair or Gold Cup . - 16-1 . ...... B365. prices .

Grey Dawning will be aimed at the Gold Cup. He'll go to the Betfair Chase with or without a prep.

A personal preference but I'd be looking at Regents Stroll for the Albert Bartlett, but I wouldn't want to be betting on that race at all at this stage.

I do like the idea of UK themed yankee. And it's maybe this time of the year when we should be going left field anyway.

I think if it's solely UK horses then avoid the Gold Cup where the Irish seem to have a serious stranglehold on the race.
I am puzzled as to why FastorSlow is 12/1, I'm not wild about the price but he would have a serious chance for me and shouldn't be double digits.
I also think he is one who can handle better ground well where others may be a little inconvenienced by it, as i say 12/1 not huge but probably OK.....

I mentioned on COD's diary that I'd only like Regents Stroll for the AB but I have my usual suspicion that Nicholls will run him in the Gallaghers instead (assuming he proves good enough of course).

If it’s a UK Yankee then what about Caldwell Potter? Not been seen out since G1 win in December when he put a good field to the sword admittedly on hvy ground. GE said we will not see the best of him till facing a fence. Now he’s with Nichols he will not waste much time before going fencing assuming there are no issues and I have not heard any. There is always the risk with Nichols that he might bypass Cheltenham but as the owners already see him as Gold Cup prospect there has to be every chance they will want to give him Chelt (Festival) experience. I personally dont see him as an Arkle type, the current betting would suggest a toss up between Turners and BANC. The former would be my guess but interested in other views.
