Right then so we all know I'm not very good at picking winner's, but luckily with this Yankee you can all help me pick some.....

Sir Gino, Galopin Des Champs & Dinoblue all look solid 'banker' options... hard to guage what way their prices will be on the day at this stage.
Don't think Ferns Lock will stay in the Hunters. Its On The Line ran a blinder to finish second last year (as a 6yo) and I'd trust Emmet Mullins (with perhaps Derek O'Connor taking the reins) to eek out further improvement from this idle type but again not sure what way his price will go on the day (currently 7/2 NRNB).
L'Eau Du Sud has solid EW claims @ 12/1 NRNB off 135 in what's sure to be a typically competitive County.
Captain Teague looks tailormade for the A.Bartlett and reckon he'll be hard to beat (with a clear round) @ 10/1 NRNB.
Better Days ahead looks laid out for the M.Pipe @14/1 NRNB off 136 (Irish) and I'd be surprised if he finished out of the frame but Waterford Whispers looks an absolute plot job @ 12/1 NRNB and I don't get how he's rated just 127 (Irish).

Won't be for everyone but I expect a ton of improvement from Johnnywho for the step up to 3m, think he's a massive player in the Potato race, I nicked some 25s on Sunday now 20s, that is without NRNB but the race is his only entry so no brainer to take the bigger price....

Some good early suggestions here.
I think as eudipe has alluded to above there are 3 short price favs on day 4, im inclined to avoid these races, which leaves the county hurdle, Albert bartlett, hunters chase and the Martin Pipe. Is this something we can all get on board with?

County Hurdle - King of Kingsfield / Absurde / Zenta
Albert Bartlett - Gidleigh Park / Croke Park / Johnnywho / One of the Mullins trio
Hunters Chase - Secret Investor / Premier Magic / Ferns Lock
Martin Pipe - Cleatus Poolaw / Stellar Story / Better Days Ahead
If limited to those races, the ones above are the ones I'd think are fair prices now ..... some more likely winners than the ones mentioned but price absolutely gone.
Gidleigh I honestly don't see how you can't go with it, and rightly so.
Secret Investor at 25/1.... fell in the race at the first last year, at 18/1, and has won all 3 races since.... including beating Vaucelet who is 14s for the race
Cleatus Poolaw will be my biggest bet in the race if not taking up the Pertemps entry but 14s NRNB now is massive
Some early thoughts anywayLast edited by Kevloaf; 27 February 2024, 10:59 PM.
