What are people’s preferences for type of bet here?

I normally think u have to have fairly short priced horses in a Yankee otherwise can be wasting bets ..,,,but conscious there is a Yankee specially for good things …,,and can take view that this is a bit of fun with potential to be a game-changer

Would u prefer done long-priced ones in? And maybe ew?

And should we avoid the Ultime? as already have a forum horse in that (Naiad)

As an aside …do any bookies do ew/all ew still? Does anyone know?

The problem with the Fred Winter is that any plot you pick is running in a field of plots. 4D Chess of a race

Two shorties and two bigger odds horses might work? I think it's been done before and something I try and do personally.

Gives a chance to get the bet up and running with one or both of the shorties going in and a couple of decent priced ones to boost potential returns.

My personal opinion for a Day 1 Yankee:

              Arkle: Hunters Yarn
              Ultima: Chianti Classico
              Mares Hurdle: Lossiemouth
              NH Chase: Corbetts Cross

              550.57/1 with Bet365.

Prob no surprise to those reading threads that I’m very sweet on Hunters

Not so sure about opposing Naiad in a group bet?

I think this years Naiad has a very good chance, at least compared to last seasons

No harm in going against the Naiad, most members of the forum will be on that one plenty anyway, the problem is deciding which one to go against him with.

Clearly you have to have Hunters in there Tiger as you are his 2nd biggest fan.....

Ziggy has been very strong in the market over the last couple of weeks and has been campaigned like Gordon's previous winners.

Can't see Lossiemouth getting turned over so agree with COD that she could be the one shortie to put in.

Boodles really is a minefield. Wouldn't know where to start with that.

You could just put The Goffer in if you do not want to go against the Naiad. He meets all the trends so why not ??

Our books must look very similar

                        I’ll dispute second biggest

Problem might be price…,,,once Paul jocked up as seems likely, then could be close to fav

No issue with going against the Naiad - anyone following this yankee will already be on, I'd be staggered if anyone that backed it in this yankee wouldn't already have had it!

Starting to think the day one obvious bankers are Ballyburn & Lossie ….so could go that root with couple longer-priced ones ?

Been several good suggestions…..and very open races

Other route is do all 4 ew …,but maybe best to then avoid Mares & Supreme
