  • I agree with couple of posts above about the workmanlike performance but I’d say after running on heavy ground 17 days ago to bounce back was impressive.

I didn’t touch her today as I thought Jetara coming here fresh would be tough to beat.

Hope she does go Mares Hurdle as I think the 2m4f is perfect for her. They did say she has a lot of filling out to do so I suppose it’ll depend how her summer goes.

She’s went short but let’s be honest no surprise

I was expecting her to lose tbf I had a decent bet on jetara

Though Paul gave Jade a pretty crap ride too, he gave up race position like it didn't matter

think that was a very good win after having a hard race after Cheltenham

5s is a dog water price, but i imagine plenty of us are on at 25s+ which was a rick

      • Willie was impressed with her and said afterwards that she's definitely a 2 1/2 mile Mare which backers can probably take as a positive for the Mares Hurdle.

        • ….bit of an odd one added to the PP any race list; Coco Masterpiece @ 10-1.

Running today in the Bumper at Fairyhouse, he’s 40-1 Sup with 365 (25-1 PP).

Not sure I’d want an 8yo novice hurdler but he’s just about to run so may eat those words.

            • On the subject of Constitution Hill I don’t know much about the recovery rates where Colic is concerned (maybe others no more here) but I seem to recall that after the immediate recovery period that the prognosis long term is good. If this is the case then maybe CH is becoming at close on 11/4 a viable bet for next years Champion Hurdle?

….not sure if colic has been definitely confirmed but they were saying yesterday on TV that a concern is that once a horse has had it, there’s a greater chance it could return again at some point in the future.

                • From what I've read, they've only said he had suspected Colic and was admitted to the Vet hospital because of that.
He's then been released and seems fine.
So it's not even confirmed as Colic officially, although he obviously was showing the usual signs. Not eating, not pooing, which kind of figures and all the mooching (restlessness) about they do.

                  • Colic is a term used to describe a range of "internal problems" a horse could be suffering with.
with the most severe possibly considered a twisted bowel, something which would usually require surgery.

With constitution Hill already back at home it would appear his colic was more likely constipation or a similar less severe case.

                    • Thought that was a great performance yesterday from Intense Raffles and Meath trainer Tom Gibney. Rare enough for a 6 year to win the race.

Be interested to see what the double green plans are for him going forward.

Aintree is almost the default option so expect that next year, unless they say anything otherwise.

                        • Should be looking at a GC attempt imo.

Clearly progressive, so they should aim for the stars for the next 2 years imo

I'd want 33s after that this far out
