        • Thought they might try to go back to Danny Mullins on Flooring Porter, back in the Stayers. As the reason for the jockey change was apparently due to the fences...

Wouldn't have it as a positive.

          • Id say Danny will be riding Monkfish or Sir Gerhard who have much better chances

Sounds very much like GC for Monkfish

You'd think so from comments but i've been monitoring him on the exchanges and that has looked more stayers, he's never really shifted for either, but that may be more a reflection on his chances and position in both markets.
Although I think in the stayers he'd be a serious rival.

Aye, I asked the question after they spoke to Keith as I would see it as a negative as well. Danny rides him superbly from the front over hurdles.

They’ll throw up anything that brings in cash
Huge money to be made every week with yards down there schooling all sorts

I never believed it either until I drove past there one day and saw for myself.

                          • They have hurdles on the Curragh year round I think, I see them every time I drive by. Not sure I've seen fences though so they probably just stick them up when needed.

                              • Presumably the same rationale behind Newmarket's NH facilities.

The facilities of the Newmarket Training Grounds cater for all types of racehorse, at every stage of their career, from yearlings to point-to-pointers.
