Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • 2024 Trainer Over/Under

Bit of fun as we start to get into the meat of the season.

I was thinking about trainers to back/avoid and looked up the trainer list from last year.

Thought it could be a bit of fun to do Price Is Right for trainers' year on year performance.

So below is the list and their 2023 winner count. Copy and paste it into your own post with Either Over, Under or Same next to them and I'll collate the results to give us a hive mind opinion of how we think trainers will are this year. You can also add a selection for a trainer that will win this year that didn't last.

    Willie Mullins – 6
    Henry de Bromhead – 3
    Gordon Elliott – 3
    Paul Nicholls – 2
    Dan Skelton – 2
    Barry Connell – 1
    S Curling – 1
    Bradley Gibbs – 1
    Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero – 1
    Nicky Henderson – 1
    John Kiely – 1
    C A Murphy – 1
    Patrick Neville – 1
    A J Martin – 1
    John C McConnell – 1
    Lucinda Russell – 1
    Jamie Snowden – 1

HDB I’d be under all day and I’ll have whatever I could find Hendo over 1….

Hi Robith - nice idea for a comp.

      A couple of questions:

      I) If we think a trainer will have the same number of winners, can we select 'no change' or something like that?
ii) Can we pick a 'wild card' trainer who didn't have a winner last year that we think will have at least one winner this year and then select 'over' (zero)?

      Nice work. Cheers.

        Just doing the main ones,

        (OVER) Willie Mullins – 6
(UNDER) Henry de Bromhead – 3
        (OVER) Gordon Elliott – 3
(STAY SAME) Paul Nicholls – 2
        (UNDER) Dan Skelton – 2
        (UNDER) Barry Connell – 1
        (OVER) Nicky Henderson 1

Stick Gavin Cromwell in as a wild card +1

Sticking with Hestheone's shorter version as I don't even know what runners to expect from some of the others!

            (OVER) Willie Mullins – 6
(UNDER) Henry de Bromhead – 3
            (OVER) Gordon Elliott – 3
            (UNDER) Paul Nicholls – 2
            (UNDER) Dan Skelton – 2
(STAY SAME) Barry Connell – 1
            (OVER) Nicky Henderson 1
