Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

He may well still go XCC. They change their minds all the time that lot. They are mental. Why even enter him for XCC if he doesn't truly stay a proper run 3 miles ??? They make it up as they go along.

I don't think anything has changed

Gordon was very clear he wants him in the Cross Country

Owner has always wanted him in the Ryanair

I'm now very tempted to get on the 3/1 NRNB price though

They'd tell him to do one.
They might be t**ts but they are not Mugs.
How is Gordon going to sway them ?
They've also given him Coko Beach today as a softener.

Yep, Coko Beach, final nail in coffin for decision imo! With Delta and Coko now, run Conflated in Ryanair. Selfishly not what my pocket wanted, but the right thing for the sport! Small part of me hopes the oleaey bullshit though happens and he goes X Country and wins

Agree. Delta beating Tiger still hurts............what were they thinking. Never forgive them.

They've been campaigning Conflated over 3m+ for nearly two years since he Fell in Ryanair in March 2022. He's won 1/9. I don't think gets 3M too easily so why would they run him over 3M7 in the X-Country against G1 winning horses. It won't be a slow jog round up against Delta Work, Minella Indo, Galvin and Coko Beach. I think he'll go to the Ryanair and I think he would have a great chance. And that's not my pocket talking coz I missed the 25/1 this morning.

This is exactly what the cross country is, the tight configuration of the course and the extra obstacles mean they don't fully race until they come out onto the racecourse proper 3 furlongs from home, it's entirely possible non stayers over regulation fences can get the XC trip.
Conflated doesn't appear to get a Gold Cup trip but he was a very good third last year, the dominance of Galopin des Champs makes those behind look worse than they are.
He could run a big race if he were to come here....

                            JK re Coko Beech....

"It was lovely to do it on a horse like that, it's as much fun as I've ever had on a racehorse," he said. "He loved it. He's a natural. I was excited when I saw him entered in it and when Gordon asked if I wanted I want to ride I didn't need to be asked twice.
"He's probably been schooling over these for a year and has won a couple of good pots in the meantime. He was looking for the next fence the whole way, and I don't know who enjoyed it more, me or him. I won here on Delta Work too, so I'm two out of two over the banks and have won the cross-country at Cheltenham too."

Has this ever happened at the festival though?

Tiger Roll, Cause of Causes, Delta, Balthazar King these are/were all horses fancied for the national and/or a pedigree of winning over 3m+
