Just wondering if we are going to be doing this tipping competition this year, it appears we would be rather late this year as last years closing date was 25th February
This has been a great addition of the forum for many years but it does take some organising. Dandrew99 kindly took this on but we know he's had some issues that have prevented his involvement in recent weeks/months, if there is a willing party to take this on and run it for 2025 that's great but it will need to be kicked off ASAP, we do have the One Horse/One Race thread so there is some forum competition for this upcoming festival but there's no question if this can be reignited it would be extremely well received....

I have run several of these before but not necessarily on this scale. I should be able to update the tables each evening and I have the week off as usual. Could you give me until tomorrow to assess if I have capacity, unless someone decides to before then?
Given the festival is in under a fortnight, I think it's a bit late for an antepost tipping contest, especially when we also have the one horse, one race contest which is very simialr. So I think maybe people should conserve their energy and bring this back for 2026

Excellent, many thanks for coming forward.
The concept of any competition would be up to you, as others have suggested make it as simple as you want to minimise admin.
Hopefully you'll be able to do this and you can then focus on improving your post rate...
20pts staked per person, to be split however the fuck you like, across the week.
Must enter before first race on Tuesday.
Non Runner is a non runner. Stake back.
Must use NRNB markets only.
Winner with most points after it's all done.
Be a lot easier to run as you could mark your own work really.
That's how I'd do it. A set bank. Spend how you want it. You can spread it across various races, go safe and put it on a favourite, do a banker treble etc

Fully appreciate I'm a long time lurker.
Okay, let's go for
Each participant logs their 1 selection per race
4pts win
3pts 2nd
2pts 3rd
1pt 4th
Standard e/w terms
Then each winner scored at SP. I'll take oddschecker.com best price on the 10th March.
Let me know if this works and i'll set up the tables on Friday.
