No they wouldn't. I'm sure of that. She's an exceptional Mare. I was hugely impressed.

Her best RPRs outside of the Mares last season, which her rating is too high for IMO, is 150 then 145. They are 170+ animals. She'd be destroyed in a proper race by them.

Lossiemouth beat her very easy and I was very very impressed with a view to the Mares, but the Champion Hurdle is a much, much higher level. She wouldn't beat State Man or IEP, let alone touch CH, this season. But give her time this year and I could see her getting to the level of the best of the Irish. That's very high praise as I don't think Honeysuckle at her best was any better than State Man.

Guess we won't find out until next year. Hopefully she is better than State Man so when CH dismisses her, he gets his top rating.

Not sure what French race Ricci was talking about but I'd like to see her at Aintree in the Aintree Hurdle against CH this year. Then look at Punchestown but doubt they'll do that.

Just enjoy her whatever she does. She just looks very special

I wouldn’t be using Love Envoi as a guide.
Shes probably 3 stone off CH.
Its hard to gauge how good horses are when they win like that, but she’s obviously very good.
We have to wait until she takes on the best around over 2m .
Then we will know.

Absolutely no doubt she stays IMO, a horse as obviously classy as that would have no problem over any trip.
Just depends how the race is run and the horse being relaxed enough on the day (i.e not worked up more than normal for some reason)

For me the Mares is done, unless I find some sort of angle on the day,I will just sit and watch.

Betting antepost and being completely honest, there’s a part of me that is more than happy to have odds on favs in these races where I’ve backed.

But if you went and bet on the day.
How you’d get excited, from a betting perspective is beyond me, in the big races. Sure there’s the handicaps to get stuck into, but competitive handicaps can be found throughout the year. It’s the feature grade ones that the festival is all about.
the Tuesday is one of the best days around, but we’ll very likely have 3 of the 4 grade ones that day at prices of 1/2 1/4 and 1/2. Not completely new, but it’s only going one direction. I’ve noted before that you can basically bet the top 4 in the grade one races and find the winner each time, and often not even needing to go down to the top 4 (in 2022 84% of the non handicap races came in the top 2 of the market SP)

That’s not even touching on the sporting side of it.

Agree. She travelled and settled brilliantly yesterday and was really strong through the line without being asked a question. I can't see her being beat.

I'm in a decent position in most of the graded races but from a sporting point of view its turning into a snore fest. Racing is like the heavyweight boxing division with trainers opting for the easiest race more often than not.

Most of my mates only bet on the day and they'll probably offer to get the round in when the Arkle, Champion Hurdle and Mares Hurdle are being run.

The way she travelled yesterday suggested to me she'd have no issue at that trip. It wasn't running ragged from the front - she travelled beautifully then picked them off, absolutely ideal for the further distance

The only chance I think the others have is to try and test her stamina but I can't see any of the Mullins horses going hard from the front. Perhaps You Wear It Well sets out to make all but the chances are it'll be steadily run and she'll hose up, imo.

I thought the same. She was beautifully turned out and looked like a show horse. Can't beat a good looking Grey.
