Very, very interested to see how she gets on. Could be brilliant......could be crap. I've no idea.

I think I have slight preference for Gala Marceau.

There was a bit of money for Ashroe Diamond in the Coral Cup the other week, so if that is the plan I can't see them wanting to get too close, either.
Cant not see her running in the mares at Chelt. Surely they want a big G1 on the CV for breeding? She has always been contesting at the top end even with the boys

Yep imagine the conversation with the owners. I know you’ve always run in graded races and I know the mares at Cheltenham is the one you’ve been waiting for for so long now but we’ve decide to go for the handicap instead along with another nine of ours.

Aye, top four in the market all running Saturday!

Gala v Ashroe should be informative. They're the only two I've backed as well.

Not even sure what I want to happen at Cheltenham. Lossiemouth win easily and convince them to go Champion Hurdle maybe

Gala and Love Envoi both winning would be great for my bets........

Doesn't work like that though !!

Great to see all 4 out though.

And a run under her belt.

                Love Envoi the play then.

She was terrible last time though. The play is just to watch the race and enjoy I'd say. That's what I'll be doing anyway.

She was. I don't think she'll be as bad this time, unless she's lost interest in the game entirely.

Hopefully Mr Burke won't hold her up so far back early on this time either, she had a hell load of ground to make up that day, partly due to how she was ridden and partly due to her lack of enthusiasm.

Her rating is arguably too high. The Mares last year was her best rating by far, she had the lead in a falsely run race and probably isn't worth her rating. Doubt Lossiemouth actually needs to improve to beat her.

We'll know after the first few hurdles whether she's gone all sour on us.

I just don't get this falsely run race thing about last years Mares. The first two were just much better than the rest.

Wowsers. Love the confidence Q. And do you see her going Mares still if she does demolish them ? I see she's been well backed yesterday for the MH.

Racing Post analysis of the race: "A slow time and fast finishing split."
Translation, they dawdled in front then sprinted clear. Both Mares were the best on the day, but there's absolutely no guarantee the race would be run that way again, so it's "false" form, whether its proven correct in the future or not.

Racing Post times: Mares Hurdle (slow by 22.13s)
Translation, the Racing Post has an "average" set of times they expect based on going conditions and (I'm assuming) class of horse. The Champion Hurdle was slow by 10.38s, the Supreme was slow by 10.69s. The Mares Hurdle was twice as slow as both. The race was falsely run.

Nothing wrong with following what your eyes show you as horses just have to win the race they run in, but to expect the same result IF there is a front runner in the race next time (e.g. Youwearitwell possibly for one) to make it a better test (e.g. a faster race) is a questionable strategy.
