Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

        • Something about a bleed over night, on icy spaces there this morning - looks a murky race now.

Some suggesting it could also be a double bluff! Madness! Games not straight!

Limerick lace could be an absolute good thing on this ground

Dinoblue will be having her stamina properly stretched
Underestimated how well dinoblue would run but that extra stamina and the 5lb penalty made the difference

                      Great ride from keith

He had to go early and make it a test

The early money was the smart money today

One thing that's always pissed me off is horses being ridden out the back to get a trip

Ride them like they're going to stay, you aren't going to win riding them to get the trip out the back anyway

I came out on the right side of it today but iv been on the opposite end many times

Yeh I wasn't happy with that ride at all. Her greatest asset is her jumping and natural speed. If you had a jockey like David Bass throwing her at fences from the front she would have won that 9 times out of 10 IMO. Riding her like that was a recipe for disaster IMO.

Do you think it was by design? The money went down early in the morning ...

100% I don't understand it as usually however far they are going to sit off the pace is given by the first obstacle, so for the rest of the race they are travelling at the same speed as if they were up with the pace as they aren't continually losing ground.

Surely it makes more sense to either be a) up with the pace so you don't have additional ground to make up or b) start at the front, gradually go half a mph slower and lose the ground across the first 2 mile to conserve a bit of energy before the final?

Simply giving 6 lengths at the start and staying 6 lengths off the leaders doesn't save you any energy at all.
