Hello Fat Jockeys,

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

  • I doubt Townend will be too disappointed not to be riding in the Mares Chase.
Especially if he's won the Gold cup.
He can start on the ale early.

He'll be on Allegorie De Vassy trying to peg back Mark Walsh at that point

A good point. Was giving the winner 5lbs today. Not the finest ride PT has ever had. If he could go again I'm sure he'd make more use of her. They are still learning about her. She also made a big blunder 5 out that knocked her back several lengths. I'd prefer one more run before March . She's as tough as teak which is a good trait to have. 20/1 is still value ew imo as a few in front of her will not run.

Have you come out of that race today thinking Hautblahblah has a better chance, worse chance, or same chance as before?

                  Oddly.........better.

She's very consistent and tough and I reckon they now know how to ride her to get the best out of her. Without the mistake 5 out she'd have won imo and we'd be having a different conversation and she'd be single figures. A stiffer track and faster pace will help her . I'd prefer it if she had another run before the Fez as the more experience the better in that race.

If Gala Marceau were to win the Mares Hurdle, Dinoblue would be a 100 point 'winner' for me so I do have some interest in her. Still don't think she'll stay though........

That is interesting..... having backed at 40/1 myself I can't say I feel the same.

I can't really understand how you can come out of the result today happier than before

                          • Hauturiere is a an out an out stayer, and a long way short fo graded class over shorter. I don't see how anyone took positives out of that for her Mares Chase chances.

Despite having so many quality mares, has Willie ever run three in the race? He already has Dinoblue (Walsh), and Townend has Alegorie de Vassy, so I doubt they'll be fussed about her for March, and all that race did was decrease her chance of being on the boat.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.
