Yep, it's been a brilliant race for punters recently, even Ferny could be found and cashed and found and cashed and then found again.

    • Yep. Been a very lucky race for the FJ family in recent years with the likes of Envoi, Sir G and Vega being highlighted very early at huge prices. One of Romeo or Jasmin might just keep that trend going this year.

      • ….Mullins’ comments re ‘My Great Mate’ made me read it twice;

‘It’s not often you see a Cheltenham and Punchestown Grade One bumper winner returning to bumpers but A Dream To Share is and he’s clearly going to be very hard to beat.

My Great Mate is two from three in bumpers and Tom Costello rides. He might find the trip a little sharp for him, but has to take his chance and we’ll find out whether we go across the water with him or stick to more local tracks.’

That last sentence made me wonder if they think he’s decent. Jockey bookings would suggest not but one to keep an eye on.

        • ….You Oughta Know as low as 12-1 CB, so 66-1 (Hills) TWAF might appeal.

Looks great, but he could pull clear with A Dream To Share and Redemption Day and get beaten.
As neither can then run in the Bumper, it would then be a dead bet, but he would still probably end up Fav for the Bumper.

(Although 66/1 is a great price to find out and that risk seems to be factored in )

            • Aye, I think that's actually a fair enough price. He'd be going short priced fav if beating last year's bumper winner surely. Even if he was like 12s on Saturday I think there's probably some value in that.

              • Patrick doesn’t get it right all the time.
But he’s riding vega on Sunday and the 14-1 nrnb is a must IMO
if she loses id doubt she’ll run at Cheltenham
If she wins there’s a good chance she does especially if a dream to share hacks up Saturday.
Might not be Patrick’s ride at Cheltenham though.

                        • 1. A maximum of three runs permitted in National Hunt Flat races.
The only exceptions will be where:

the fourth run is in the Grade 1 Champion Bumper at Cheltenham, or the Grade 2 NHF at Aintree. Where the fourth run is in the Grade 1 Champion Bumper at Cheltenham, a further fifth run is permitted in the Grade 2 NHF at Aintree.
In the case of fillies and mares, a fourth run is permitted in either the Listed Mares’ NHF at Sandown in March or the Grade 2 Mares’ NHF race at Aintree. If the fourth run is in the Listed Mares’ NHF at Sandown in March then a further fifth run is permitted in the Grade 2 Mares’ NHF race at Aintree.

Look up the conditions for running in the champion bumper.
