Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

    He's said Quebecois runs already.

Quite amusing. February's almost upon us and in the absence of either Willie or Gordon setting us alight with their bumper runners, the train now lands at Nicholls's feet. The stage is yours Paul. Unless we see something special at Leopardstown.

Personally take it more seriously given he’s sold the beast & made his cut - always try to ignore ‘sales’ pitches

        • Cobden is jocked up on Touquet, so doesn't seem that Teeshan runs.

Who's not eligible for Cheltenham. I guess there's a decent pot to be won on Saturday but not a great encouragement to Mullins other runners in the race, with a view to Cheltenham... As a backer.

Yep I thought that the other week when they said ADTS was running here.
The related double with Jalon ADTS is probably worth it.
I cannot believe he was 6-1 antepost for this race.

Interested to see how The yellow Clay gets on. Talked up and entered up early doors in decent Hurdle races but pulled a couple of times due to winter ground. Probably too late to go Hurdling now so going Bumper route and looks like he'll get a decent surface Saturday. Barry O'Neill jocked up . Big price.

                        • “Jasmin De Vaux was a Crawford graduate and we purchased him from Stuart and sent him to Willie and he looked very good in the bumper on Sunday,” said Bromley.
“I imagine all roads lead to Cheltenham for him. You could probably pick holes in the form of the bumper but it was the manner in which he did it which was impressive and he’s a really exciting horse to look forward to.”

                          • Rather like the 2yo races at Royal Ascot, these bumper horses are all improving at different rates and, without inside knowledge, picking the winner 6 weeks out is a complete lottery. Even the jockeys don't know what they have with any certainty. Since Patrick won on Cousin Vinny, he has had the pick of Willie's and only won twice more in 15 runnings. However, Willie has won on 4 more occasions, each time with a different jockey.

In the last 11 years, 3 favourites have won but 4 winners have started at double figure prices. Where's that barge-pole emoji?

                            • Not sure inside knowledge will help if even the stable jockeys are still picking wrong!

You could also point to a modern trend of the winner being one of the more obvious horses in the market. The Fav and 2nd Fav have finished 1-2 (not necessarily in order) in four of the last five years. The other year was Ferny Hollow (11/1) beating Appreciate It (fav).
