Can he run in the Champion Bumper given he's a 6 y-o? Condition 2 suggests not.

He can. 6yo are permitted but only from 1st Jan each season. They’ve made it like a school year. Like how you’re 10 rising 11 in year 6 at school. Horses can only run where they are in the school year ‘5 rising 6’. Which he is.

Interesting one indeed but he had bumper entries earlier in the season so not completely held back from last season. Hated the heavy ground in the preseason work at Tipperary but it’s not been heavy all season that he couldn’t have got out at some point. Not sure if there was an issue or not though.

Think we should all take note that when making statements of interest, it should be accompanied with IMO or some sort of validation.
People may use this information to cash bets out/amend books and I'd hate for anyone to be misled just for some throwaway comments

That’s all I have from the stable tour but I’ve seen nothing lately to say he’s been purposely held back for the DRF and bumpers in particular.

“He won a Listed bumper last season, so I'd say he's a fair horse. The only thing I would say is that I don't think he's going to be in love with proper heavy winter ground. We brought him away to work at Tipperary last week and he went in one of the later schooling races and he hated the ground. He goes novice hurdling and we're looking forward to that.”
