    • Connections have been unable to send last year’s Champion Bumper winner over hurdles so far.

        Baby Kate 16-1 NRNB

All would or could be considered for Cheltenham especially if winning the Dublin race.
        More experienced also than Maughreen
Connections of the first 2 love a Cheltenham runner and Baby Kate won at Cheltenham the last day.
I thought it had been established Aurora Vega couldn't run again this season after her last run if she was to run in the Champion Bumper due to the new rules, I could be getting mixed up though.

I think many thought that, including me but the conditions seem to allow it if the fourth run is pattern or listed.

I'd done a fair but NRNB at 16s and have had some 20s now (not NRNB too). Of the ones likely to go to the festival, have any of Mullins put up more than a 7/10 yet? And yet this lad scored 125 RPR on debut beating a 141 rated hurdler 11 lengths in doing so. He's going to go very short for Cheltenham even before the DRF in my opinion.

He's one of my three, backed him couple of weeks back when it looked likely.
                Joystick and Aurora also.
                All depends on Dublin.
Think I'll consider Femme Magnifique wtaf nearer the time once decs are out.

With ADTS intending to run it should give a decent indication of how good this years geldings are.

Ye you’d imagine so, I’ve filled my boots this afternoon. Jalon only posted an RPR of 128 at Leopardstown so based on his Kilbeggan run he hasn’t much at all to find. His Galway run was probably slightly underrated imo too.

Yeah it did look a little laboured to me although I appreciate he gave weight to a decent horse. I wondered if Good ground wasn't quite to his liking. I think festival good/soft will be perfect. Just got to hope it's not like recent Wednesdays!

                          • The Yellow Clay has purposely been held back due to the deep winter ground which Gordon said won't suit him. Reckon he'll be aimed at the Cheltenham Bumper now and could be a real threat in March.

Interesting one indeed but he had bumper entries earlier in the season so not completely held back from last season. Hated the heavy ground in the preseason work at Tipperary but it’s not been heavy all season that he couldn’t have got out at some point. Not sure if there was an issue or not though.

Can he run in the Champion Bumper given he's a 6 y-o? Condition 2 suggests not.
