None of the best girls go to the Cheltenham Bumper.

Yep - most people don't like bringing good mares to the race.

Fun Fun Fun a good example of how things can go for Mares there , which was a late u-turn by the owners to run rather than Willie.

I would keep the faith on Cantico coming good before March, lot to come there

….lots of blue on Oddschecker for Cantico this morning, 25-1 a bit of a standout with 365.

        • Just got the last of the 25s with 365. Just gone 16s

          • MAUGHREEN got a 121rpr for her debut.

So with the mares allowance factored in that equates to 128 which puts her joint top on ratings so far.

IMO that was easily the most impressive performance this season. She looks a proper Mare to follow going forward. Very exciting.

Only one this season to get 120+ on debut I think

Joystick did too. And Brechin Castle.

                  • The fact Joystick hasn't had more love is very surprising and he's available at 22-1 boosted with WH NRNB.
Won a very popular race for Willies better bumper runners also.
Likely to have an entry in Dublin also. Find out tomorrow. But may also be antepost Fav for that, as elliott unlikely to run any of his "big 2".
His breeding is very much decent for the Bumper also.
Especially if strongly run like usual.

Added to this he beat The Lord Maid 34 lengths giving him a stone in weight on heavy ground as a four year old.
And the same Lord Maid beaten 11 lengths giving him 7lb, by Maughreen.
Puts them close, but current prices are not.

Ye, Johnny Dineen told me it was quite likely, think he’s involved with the McMahons. I’ve cashed the last of my hurdle bets & reinvested into the Bumper.

Thanks. Were they positive regarding his chances do you know?

                            • Three Mullins look interesting in the Mares Bumper.

Aurora Vega 14-1 NRNB Hills for the Champion Bumper.
                              Femme Magnifique 12-1 NRNB
                              Baby Kate 16-1 NRNB

All would or could be considered for Cheltenham especially if winning the Dublin race.
                              More experienced also than Maughreen
Connections of the first 2 love a Cheltenham runner and Baby Kate won at Cheltenham the last day.

He didn’t elaborate on his chances, just that it was likely he’d stay in bumpers. Willies weak hand in the division probably meant he was keen to twist their arms in that direction.
