Well definitely happy with 66 stage star

    • If PN says he’s best fresh, then he will turn up
      in March fresh
As for Allaho, I ain’t saying anything until I see him run again
EA is a big danger to any of them

      • Appreciate he's not the main one worthy of conversation today but as a backer... Saint Roi ran more like they're thinking about getting him handicapped than a Ryanair contender earlier. Hope not though.

Not wrong there. Serious performance. Should be Ryanair fav on the back of that.

          • Sorry Lobos, but you can only be number 2 fan!

Stage Star is so good around Cheltenham.
Only time will tell if he can beat Allaho, but for now, I’m well chuffed!!

I hope Nicholls puts him away until March and I’ll be cheering him up the hill, win or lose (or draw??)

based on what we saw today from the GB handicappers, I think Nichols may be able to get him in of those these renewals and run well despite going up once again in the weights
Think frodon won the 3m hcap they have on trials day, I think your probably thinking of the 2 and half miler hcap on new years day, would be best suited to stage star, would leave plenty of time then to have him fresh for March I would have thought

                • Pleasantly surprised to see a boosted 60/1 with Ladbrokes still available about Appreciate It for this after today’s events at Cheltenham. Gladly gobbled it up.

                    • I do like a supreme/arkle/queen mother like horse switching it up and running in the Ryanair

Captain Guinness would be on my shortlist if they decided to step him up - had settled into a professional. We’ll see how he fairs in the tingle creek and whether, if beaten, they decide to campaign and try middle distance

Because the maestro Willie Mullins will surely have finally realised his optimum trip & he’ll be campaigned with that clarity in mind. Running against El Fabiolo at the DRF won’t have been beneficial in the lead up to the Turners last year & would have taken him too far to the well in a prep race which led to him falling into the longer race.

& did I mention he’s a boosted 60/1 poke that’s trained by the maestro already?

Surely he'll not be good enough to take on the likes of Stage Star, Allaho and Envoi?

Absolutely nowhere near these 3 and seems to be regressing faster than all of them, even at 60/1 if you're playing the each way part there is little to zero appeal in tying that money up for 4 months. The win part is dead and the each way part is a stretch of the imagination imo.

Dysart Dynamo was beat 10 1/2 lengths and 11 lengths by El Fabiolo last year. He was beat 11 1/2 lengths by Captain Guinness yesterday. Very simplistic I know but DD was consistent based on his RPRs yesterday, goes well fresh and so not unreasonable to argue he has run to form. With that in mind then Captain Guinness would be a contender in the Champion Chase, albeit his record in Grade 1 races suggests he is a nearly horse. However, his asset is his jumping and that would be wasted upped in trip to the Ryanair.
