Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Edwardstone was worth trying up in trip but clearly a 2 miler, pulled all the way round

Banbridge looked rusty, jumped poorly but won anyway and is now a big contender

    With improvement surely to come

As a backer of allaho, envoi and Banbridge think I'm in a solid position in this race
Well summed up. Edwardstone was never getting home racing like that and not sure they'll try that trip again so cashed my bet on him.

I'll be praying for decent ground for Banbridge.

      • Worry for banbridge backers would be if it came up soft, connections wouldn't think twice than to wait for Aintree?

          • ….Banbridge;

Winning owner Ronnie Bartlett told Racing TV: “We were always looking for good ground for him and we got it today. He was maybe a wee bit rusty at times but we’re very happy – he put up a solid performance.

“He made a few mistakes but he’s been off the track for a long time, so it’s pretty exciting.

“He just seems to be very professional, he’s more mature, he’s got bigger and thicker and he’s just in a good way. He was very cool about travelling over here, he was relaxed and it was a good way to start the season.

“We’ve had him bubbling for a long time and there have been races we were going for but the ground wasn’t what we wanted, but Joseph said there is still some improvement to go and we’re happy with that.”

Banbridge was cut from 10-1 to 5-1 for the Ryanair Chase by Betfair, Coral and Paddy Power.

“We’ll wait and see what the ground is like, he’s a spring horse, so we’ll watch him accordingly, but all being well, that’s the race we’ll be going for,” added Bartlett.

            • Tony Calvin said on the Betfair podcast that Allaho has been weak on the exchange, any truth to that or is he talking bollocks?

Yeah a bit. He’s drifted a point from 4s to 5s but that’s probably because Banbridge emerged as a credible potential winner.

can get 4/1 for him on there, hes gone out a tiny but i wouldnt class that as weak tbh probably just a reaction to banbridge winning at the weekend

                    Not particularly IMO.
                    Just Banbridge effect I reckon.

                    • Ah ok, he made it sound a bit more sinister than that!

                      • Looks like it could be a bit of something to me...only £1 left to lay below 19/1 and he's already the longest price he's been in months. Other market principles meanwhile aren't exibitng the same 'Banbridge effect'.

                        • I think there's an effect in there that a few pundits (Ruby in particular) were disappointed with his KJ run and think there isn't yet evidence after his break that he's the horse he was before his break.

                          • Ruby's tipped up Appreciate It, Envoi and Jonbon for the race as well so that sort of tells you what he thinks the chances of Allaho are.
