  • He's pissed the bed, got back in it and Nico's pissed on top of him and then jumped in bed too.
A big wet pissy bed full of pissy pants.

The owners didn't piss, as they've got no balls (I know this is scientifically flawed)

And I'm personally delighted as it suits every bet I've made. Three cheers for Nicky

If the horses are in great shape and your pulling them, surely the issue can only be with the trainer? Bad scopes, fair enough, pull them. But the mind boggles with this one.
Yeah it seems the fate was sealed with JDR & iberico lord. As he then started pulling all his horses. Not given his better chances a opportunity. I did think he might of learnt from the Champion Chase. Not saying Jonbon would of won but Ruby's comments were telling afterwards, saying you have to be in it to win it.

        • He's protecting the string of 1's !!
He obviously doesn't know how any of his horses are going to run right now regardless of how they may appear. So he's not going to risk his new golden boy losing his unbeaten record.

What exactly is the point of that with geldings? I don't get it at all. Don't mean your comment, I mean the potential mindset for doing that.

            • I'm just going to keep backing Bunting @ 18/1 (boosted) for 4 places.

More rain coming which will suit and for me he didn't get a great ride at the DRF when staying on for 4th. I think he'll struggle to win as he seems to take a little while to get going but he'll be staying on at the finish that's for sure. I'm hoping they either go hard up front, or he Sean O'Keefe rides him from the front if a slow pace in the race.

              • Bat and ball have firmly been picked up and taken home.

It would seriously make me consider having horses with him

if I had horses of course

It’s the prestige of having unbeaten horses in your care, especially those at elite level. It matters more to some but Henderson is one of those trainers that values it.

                  • ….was hoping for the FJ January Yankee;

                    Storm Heart at 7/1 (Triumph)
Fact To File at 4/1 (Browns)
I Will Be Baie at 25/1 (Albert Bartlett)
                    Ballyburn at 4/1 (Ballymore)

                    Never mind.

No I don't think so sadly, would give another chance though, wouldn't completely give up with him yet. Didn't think he had a chance today and he's finishes 6th. Could be worse.

                          Wouldnt be so sure..

There'll be plenty of improvement to come with him, he hasn't had a smooth run through with it this season with niggly issues.

                          • I must say I'd not be put off by that at all. Travelled well enough and he's finished 2 lengths behind Storm Heart, 3 lengths behind Nurburgring and 3 lengths ahead of Bunting. I think the front 2 are very good and the 3rd has run some race too, making most of it. Willie has literally just said in his post race interview that all of his are coming on for the run this season also.

Any idea what the 'issues' are/were that Salvador has had this season?
It's more that which could put me off for next season rather than his run today.
