                  • Already thinking of him as his Champion Hurdle horse in 2026 then !!

                    • I cannot believe I backed Sir Gino for next years Arkle.

As IF Nicky would take any risks whatsoever

I took the 20’s on offer for the Arkle, thought the price was pretty good if he was to go that way.
But given that’s not what he usually does with his juveniles, should be no surprise that he stays hurdling.
He’s certainly not one that likes to take risks and in this case I absolutely don’t blame him for doing what he usually does.
He could be top class and no need to take risks imo.
Light season as a 4/5 year old(Lossiemouth/ Willie quote), maybe go CHurdle, and then maybe Chasing following season depending I guess on how he stacks up with CHill or any other top Hurdler that may be around.Plus of course he might actually be a proper hurdler and not a chaser anyway.

He certainly doesn’t need to learn from anyone with his 2 milers, none better imo.

                        • That 2m novice chase division next year will be putrid. He's a great trainer no doubt but if he has an unbeaten horse, he gives them such a negative campaign. The best thing for Nicky's horses are to be beat.

My negativity is towards my own foolish bet.

Anyone who has taken that 20s (which is plenty of us) was a mug.

I even questioned him ever doing it for myself and STILL put the bet on.

                            Let's hope I'm wrong

                              Hahaha, fair enough
As you say it’s quite a big club we have got!!
Anyway, we might just get a surprise, probably not though.

Whether it's next year or a couple down the line, I have a feeling that Sir Gino, Majborough and Kalif Du Berlais are going to be a golden age of chasers.
