I'd say the only reason he wanted another run into him is due to him likely being right on the cusp of actually getting in the race. Spring ground and he'll be a stone better

Lets be honest, he's smashed Burdett Road, but that IMO doesn't warrant 8/11.
Id love nothing more than him to win btw but 8/11 stinks

Yeah short enough, but likely due to nothing really coming out and showing that theyre anything special going by how theyve been winning their races. Anzadam is one I've closely got my eye on waiting for the entries for Fairyhouse on Saturday. His last run is well worth watching back beating the well regarded George Zetterholm horse Les Blavet as easily as you like. If he turns up there and wins impressively he'll be single figures.

That's the hope I suppose. I'm still thinking that Nurburgring might go for it rather than taking on SG and co.

A 2 mile hurdle against UK horses you know he has covered and a bunched group of Irish

Still much easier than a 3m2f chase with a lot more obstacles

I think he's rightly shorter than GDC myself

So much more needs to go right for Galopin than Sir Gino

Not that I'll be smashing 8/11 of course, but if they were the same price on the day and I could only back 1 it would be Sir Gino every time IMHO

          • Yep, hurdles over fences every time.

Fair enough. I can't say I agree. GDC has form lines every where and has beaten most he's up against, some twice.

Gino has beat Burdett Road. Very much untried and tested. He's got the horse 2 lengths back from France trained by Willie still in the betting.
The Irish have failed to flatter no doubt, but I wouldn't be surprised if one of them stepped up. I'd be shocked if GDC lost the gold cup to Gerri or Shishkin.

Saying all of that, I've got a tasty treble that Gino would be the last leg of, so I could be screaming him home come 13.35 on the Friday.

                • Storm Heart extremely weak in the exchanges and 365 have greyed out bets on him.

                  • No idea if they'll run but that was impressive enough from Bottlers Secret.
If he comes out of the race alright I don't see why they wouldn't have a go now he's not a novice.
Very unexposed horse on the flat and still looked green today.

Got a lot to find on the Fav and the each way prices have now gone but he's just won a race that winners have a decent track record of following up with good runs in the triumph itself.
Winning by 11 lengths and only asked really to go on after the last, and the time was very sharp on that ground.

                    • Cromwell says Bottlers says a huge step to go to Truimph, but would not rule out, but also other options at Aintree/Punchestown. Sounds more like missing Cheltenham, but nothing definite

interesting that of his 3 DRF G1 winners, kargese is the one he’d most want to get on next time.

She's got a big chance and there looks to be further improvement there. Burdett Road potentially underperformed last time so maybe Gino performance can be marked down a bit.

                          • Burdett Road has unfortunately picked up a setback and will miss the remainder of the season.
