          • If they can get Gino to settle and travel like he did on Saturday I can't see a juvenile beating him in the triumph.

I was so impressed how they managed to switch him off. Looking back at he's previous two runs he was keen, particularly in Auteuil. Henderson working his magic on another 2 miler.

A slight doubt I'd have is the wind op...

Did anyone see this interview and have more context to it? Did it seem pesimistic etc.

Tried to find the interview but can't seem to see out

It really isn’t. Sir Gino has had two runs, debuted with an RPR of 127, and second run of 143 on Trials day

Storm Heart debuted with an RPR of 132, and runs in the DRF this weekend.

Looking at Saxon Warrior Triumph ten year trend stats, the winner’s seasonal debuts average at 129 (high 148). First two runs best RPR average is 139 (high 148).

So on that basis, with normal improvement Storm Heart should be well capable of winning with an RPR close to Sir Gino. The third in the Storm Heart race also won today

i know RPRs cause much debate on here, but Storm Heart’s win was visually impressive. At least until this weekend, he’s a contender. Win at the DRF and the market will look very different.

Yeah I saw it. It was following the Billericay Dickie race. If you didn't know Willie, you'd take it as a fairly neutral comment. I was edging towards this being the excuse as to why he doesn't end up running and instead is the 6/1 antepost fav for the '25 Supreme in April. I'm sure it'll be on the Racing TV catch up section soon and you can make your mind up.

If thats the case, lets hope some bumper horses help shape them novice hurdle division markets plenty early

I agree. Also worth noting that Kargese (+7) ran to a similar level to Sir Gino on debut. And Willie has at least two horses he's yet to run and of whom big things are thought of.

                          • You maybe right but I suspect not. If I could move all my Triumph bets to Sir Gino now I would he was that impressive. Made a Royal Ascot winner look like a Bath Selling plater.

….Cobden was eulogising about him this morning on ATR.

i hope Storm Heart follows up on that victory, he looked very impressive. It could be some match.

And rightly so. Could be another Champion Hurdle horse for Nicky.
