I don’t think Burdett ran below form today. Milan Tino closed the gap on him from 7 lengths to 1. Millan was backed off the boards before his British debut and clearly better was expected, he was also 5lb better off in the weights today so not surprised at all he was closer.
Not a huge fan of comparing times but Sir Gino was 2 seconds quicker than Lossiemouth carrying 5lb more. Was also nearly 2 seconds quicker than the Jonbon race (I know it’s fences lol) which was ran over 117 yards shorter trip. It really just helps confirm to me that we’re not getting carried away with Sir Gino, that was proper performance by a machine of a horse.
