  • I don’t think Burdett ran below form today. Milan Tino closed the gap on him from 7 lengths to 1. Millan was backed off the boards before his British debut and clearly better was expected, he was also 5lb better off in the weights today so not surprised at all he was closer.

Not a huge fan of comparing times but Sir Gino was 2 seconds quicker than Lossiemouth carrying 5lb more. Was also nearly 2 seconds quicker than the Jonbon race (I know it’s fences lol) which was ran over 117 yards shorter trip. It really just helps confirm to me that we’re not getting carried away with Sir Gino, that was proper performance by a machine of a horse.

    • I think this is my first post in this thread
This race is one I leave till the day, and so, I dont really have much to say, but Sir Gino was supreme impressive. That performance today was something I'd be looking for in a supreme candidate - proper proper impressive. Obviously, we have the DRF next week and I'm sure something will come out of that to challenge but... for now... Sir Gino - proper exciting!

        • Sir Gino would be a big winner for me (single and in multis) but Storm Heart would be bigger. Has been entered in an early closer 3/2/24

I presume that's an online offer

                        • Has Nicky done similar before?

It's a very, very tempting price even this far out

Notably he doesn’t have to win the Triumph either with that bet. So an Irish bolter chinning him wouldn’t kill the bet.

I don’t recall him ever having a 5 year old in the Arkle, but that’s not to say he hasn’t
If you look at the horse though and take into consideration the way the Supreme is looking, I can certainly see this happening
20 could look very nice this time next year
