It may be the best way to ride him imo. Only 5 other runners and let’s be honest, they’ll likely not be at the standard of the front 2. Use his big long stride and gallop on.

I was more alluding to BR’s previous run where he was held up way back.

Sir Gino (James Bowen)His jumping was far from perfect at Kempton, so he’s had plenty of practice in that department and is a person we like a lot. This is a competitive race, and Burdett Road has looked very good, therefore I should imagine whoever wins will likely be favourite for the Triumph. Sir Gino’s work has been very good, and he would be right up there with some of our previous good Juveniles we’ve had down the years.

      • They have been so bullish with his chances this season I think. He must be a very good work horse.

        • Not sure if its just me but I've never warmed to burdett road and don't have a penny on him? His jumping in a truly run race will just expose him badly in my opinion.

He did travel like a serious animal last time

If they have sorted his jumping he will take some beating tomorrow and in march

Did Hendo call Sir Gino a person?

I've heard people being called animals, but not the other way round!

              • Hopefully he's not another Charli Parcs, who also won the same race at Kempton over xmas before bombing in the Adonis.

He's really hard to take to, if you didn't get on early doors. He's a poor jumper of a hurdle and I expect he always will be. But he'll be the best flat horse in the race. I'd be surprised if that was enough to win a Triumph to be honest.

May not even be enough to win tomorrow. Sir Gino wasn't particularly fluent himself on debut but I'd be more inclined to think he'll have improved in that department.

                  • Cant wait to see Gino & BR go head to head tomorrow. I think BR has more in his favour tomorrow than he’ll have in March so if Sir Gino were to get the better of him it’ll be a massive marker for the Triumph. Nicky sounds unusually bullish so he must be burning up the gallops at Seven Barrows.

                        • Would expect him to go off clear fav. As per yesterday's post, Burdett Road is a hard horse for NH fans to take to.

Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Think it could look like Storm Heart is the best bet after the race to be honest
