Vauban I remember the mistake towards the end of the race but don't recall him being anywhere near as bad as Highwinds was throughout. He got himself behind on more than one occasion because of the jumping.

Of course, he can improve plenty for it but think he'd be left behind in a Triumph if he doesn't improve rapidly on what he displayed on debut.

Generally though, the form lines are pretty weak as well, again though, he probably would have battered them by a fair way if it wasn't for the jumping.
I think maybe Defi was bad compared to the mighty Charli Parcs and that's why that's in my head. I think rememebr him walking through some

Not knocking the knocking of Highwind by the way.... nowadays we almost have to back them before they run - if you watched that debut and he was a good price still it's fair enough, you're backing purely on ability running between the obstacles at this stage with him and then hoping they do a lot of schooling .... but surely they'd schooled before his first big day out?!

    • Highwind surely doesn't have the flat form to be in the conversation with these others who are having their jumping questioned.

They spent all last year trying to suggest that Lossiemouth wasn't their best juvenile and talking up Blood Destiny. They were similar in as much as both pulled through the Triumph. The difference was that BD fell into a sweaty hole and Lossie tanked in.

                  • Another boost for Sir Gino today.

That’s the second and third both hacked up on their next starts.

Do you think he'll beat Burdett Road on Saturday? He was very raw on debut. Another race just to watch for me.

                      • I've got burdett and gino backed for the festival so at least one bubble is likely to be burst !

Me too. Can see both running really well so all to play for still in March where the result may be different.

                            At least one

To be fair, whichever wins is almost certainly going to be fav for at least a week

Honestly not sure, he was very raw on debut but looked a unit.

If he’s brushed up his jumping he may get too far ahead of Burdett Road leaving too much to do to make the ground up.

Do you think they will try make the running with Sir Gino in the trial? I can't see where the pace would come from to leave Burdett Road that far behind
