Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • Based on bumpers so far this season, personally I'd say Mullins doesn't have as many standout prospects for hurdles next year as he usually would at this point (though he will no doubt buy from France). That said, I think if we do see Salvator Mundi it will be at the DRF. Mullins could do what he did with Il Etait Temps by risking maiden status in hot races where if he wins it outweighs being unable to run in novice races the next season.

I'm not sure if I'll bet on him if declared. That plan by Mullins means he will be lacking experience he'd usually give his best Triumph runners (most but not all). Obviously Sir Gino next weekend should also give us some sense of form too.

Plenty of time for that TGB. It’s too early IMHO to judge the strength of willies bumper horses. They’ll also be a few good ones we haven’t seen yet. There always are. Then he has France by balls the balls they’ll be some smart new recruits there.

      • PP make Burdett Road & Sir Gino 7/4 Joint favs for the Cheltenham Trial.

If Salver doesn't run I cant really see any pace in the race. If they go slow again I cant really see anything out sprinting Burdett Road here.

I'd still have major doubts about Burdett Road in a truly run race on the new course

Majborough, Salvator Mundi and Anzadam – all winners in France and I think all intended runners in the Spring Juvenile Hurdle."

Wouldn't listen to Ruby given he thinks Salvator Mundi is a winner from France!

He also gives Highwind at the prices over Storm Heart . That's him and Patrick now tipping that one up.

Yeah, I've seen a few mention him, but I couldn't have him after some of his jumping on debut. He'll get left behind in a Triumph. Plus, the form of the race isn't particularly strong, however he probably hammers them all if he could jump. Maybe one for one of the latter spring festivals, with some jumping experience under his belt.

I think Defi Du Seuil and Vauban had prtty poor jumping on debut too

That's off the top of my head and Highwinds was worse too ....

I don't remember Defi being bad. I remember he made mistakes in the Finale at Chepstow but that was his 2nd or 3rd run I think?

Vauban I remember the mistake towards the end of the race but don't recall him being anywhere near as bad as Highwinds was throughout. He got himself behind on more than one occasion because of the jumping.

Of course, he can improve plenty for it but think he'd be left behind in a Triumph if he doesn't improve rapidly on what he displayed on debut.

Generally though, the form lines are pretty weak as well, again though, he probably would have battered them by a fair way if it wasn't for the jumping.

Defi was extremely bad - But on chase debut.

                          I remember that well.

A certain cartoon dog told me to hand in my bank card after I suggested him for the Marsh @ 50/1 before he ran over 2m3f at Exeter!

I forgot to back the 50's and to this day it still haunts me.

And Goshen. Burdett road doesn’t seem to be improving his and plenty of people fancy him. Definitely wouldn’t be dismissing highwind until we’ve seen him again

Beat Top of the Game at Exeter as well.
                              That form worked out

                              • Highwind was my double odds boost victim this week, already they've a stunning record of being the kiss of death (figuratively...) so apologies to backers.
