Would love to see him take on older horses earlier than he has to. Fakir D'oudaries the most recent I can think of that was actually good and I'm not even certain that happened

He won very impressively and is a horse with a big engine but needs more experience over hurdles. I thought if he hadn’t made the mistake at the last, he could have been as impressive as Storm Heart was.
With his flat speed, if he can get his jumping right, he could go right to the top. Looking at him in the parade ring you’d have thought he might need the race and that’s what we were thinking at home, but we needed to get him out and experience into him if he was to have any chance on the juvenile scene this season"

I do agree, the mistake at the last though, should have been him beat. To rally the way he did in the short run in and win handsomely was very impressive.

Triumph looks like being a cracker at this stage!

Just seen Gary Moore has acquired Irish Derby 4th Peking Opera and looks to get him out shortly then onto the triumph. 105 flat rated so if he can jump he could be top class.

Him and Burdett Road could be two of the highest rated Flat horses ever to set foot in a Triumph.

The race this year looks absolutely top class.

I’m excluding Salvator Mundi, with the Donnellys having Anzadam I just can’t see why WPM would run him with such firepower. There’s 2 or 3 of his I’ve not listed that are maybe a peg below triumph imo as well.

My approach doesn’t lend to backing too many EE. I’d want to see him first I think though. I have to say though, as honest as Gary Moore was, if Coolmore thought they had a potential hurdler in their ranks would they sell? Most likely have stayed in the family with Joseph surely, maybe Gary is playing him down if he’s schooled well, who knows.

Set my stall out early on Sir Gino and Kargese, adding Buntin along the way.

Hmm possibly, if he wins I think Moore would take the chance triumph anyway as why not?! Not as if he can go boodles. Also he wouldn’t be a novice next year. 14/1 seems skinny enough when you look at what we’ve seen so far imo. It would need to be something pretty special to disrupt the market from him but add to that it’s just a maiden.

I think Salvator Mundi surely, surely, is going to be held back given the Donnellys have bought Anzadam?! He’s not a novice next year whereas WPM could keep S Mundi back. And his hand looks pretty strong, as above he could run his own juvenile race I thought Kargese ran a very good race first time over here so would be happy if Danny is on again, so many similarities with Gala Marceau. I could see her winning the DRF but then others reversing the form come march. As we know with Juveniles though they all progress at different stages. I’d like to know if there was an issue with Mighty Bandit at Xmas though, as Elliott seemed confident he was his best chance.

Fully appreciate there is almost certainly very little liquidity in the market but the betting of the spring juvenile would indicate SM is, at the moment, an intended runner and therefore will obviously be seen this season. Andazam is 16:1 so the market thinks less likely to run. Plenty of time to change of course but I think we will see SM. Willie is not going to be short of top novices next year and there’s a grade 2 at the DRF and then 3 good reasons to run SM this year in the G1’s at Cheltenham aintree and punch. Could easily take in 3 of those 4 graded races.
